Cheerilee has, by and large, been detached from the events at the School of Friendship. She heard the rumors about a total meltdown at the school, and even worse ones about a diplomatic incident that followed, but by and large, she's simply wished Twilight well and went about her business of helping all the young ponies of Ponyville grow.

Then, one day, not too long after the School of Friendship reopened, a new young mind flies into her life.

This story is a sequel to Wedding Bell Blues (And Whites)

(While it is highly recommended that you read The Wonderbolt and The Dressmaker and its sequels in order to better understand the setting, this is a stand alone sequel. Therefore you don't have to read the previous installments to understand things. A tribute to Amy Keating Rogers, takes place prior to the end of Season 8.)

Rarity and Soarin have been married for a few months now, and so far their marriage has been uneventful despite Rarity's part-time teaching role at Twilight's school. It helps that Soarin has semi-retired from the Wonderbolts to help manage Carousel Boutique.

However, Rarity has been dwelling on a peculiar fact about her wedding. The fact that neither of Soarin's parents showed up or appeared to be invited. Before she has a chance to ask, though, she receives a visitor.

Said visitor is Soarin's mother, Amy. Soarin is overjoyed to have her, but Rarity is curious as to why Mrs. Rogers has come back to see her son after all this time. Mrs. Rogers will soon reveal her reasons, however.

“Non-Compete Clause” never happened. Rainbow Dash and Applejack are frustrated when they aren't chosen for Teacher of the Month. But instead of getting carried away with competing against each other, they ask their students for honest feedback about how they can improve. The answers surprise them.

Diamond Tiara has been given a school assignment, a simple one at that. She has to pick one pony to do a paper on, detailing what it is about that pony that inspires her.

However, the filly has done so many papers and assignments on her father already, and asking her mother is out of the question. So on a whim, she decides to ask her favorite butler, Randolph (to whom she has grown most attached).

Randolph obviously wasn't always a butler, but just what did he do before he ended up in the employment of the Riches? Tiara is about to find out a not so deep secret about the old stallion, one that will change the way she thinks of him. And it all has to do with a detail she wrote off so long ago.

Fluttershy knows the fear of letting the music inside her out. Seeing Sweetie Belle struggling, she puts aside her own anxieties to help a friend in need. Together, they can make beautiful music.
