This is a prequel to "Tears for the Pearl"

A mysterious, amnesiac filly lands in the mountains of Whinnypeg. Rescued and adopted by an earth pony couple, the filly comes to realize she has great power within her. Unaware of the cause or her past, she grows up to leave on a journey to find her answers...

Luna has been the keeper of dreams well before her banishment, and after a thousand years of absence and unchecked nightmares, she makes a vow to herself to continue helping ponies to the best of her abilities.

But, unfortunately for her, somepony doesn't take kindly to dreams being so rudely rooted around in, changing this and that all willy nilly with no regard for anypony else's hard work.

This somepony thinks it's time that Princess Luna be brought in for a little chat.

There's nothing Lyra loves more than playing her lyre in Ponyville Park. The welcoming atmosphere, and sounds of nature adding to her already wonderful music. Though, during the cold winter nights, it does get awful lonely, and incredibly cold.

Perhaps Lyra is in need of some company this time around?

And now that her best, and only, friend has been flung off to Canterlot, who does a filly have to turn to? Nopony but herself with a growing, twisted mindset and nopony to steer her in the right direction. This is her start of darkness, leading her to what she would one day become.

There are good reasons why most unicorns want nothing to do with time magic: it's dangerous. One tiny slip-up could have far-flung consequences no one saw coming, something few understand better than Starlight Glimmer now that she's seen it for herself.

Which is why, after testing a temporal spell of her own creation results in her waking up in her old village with a nasty headache, she sets out to fix her mistake at any cost... only to find that destiny seems to have a different plan in mind for her, and a rather unlikely set of allies.
