After an accident reveals that Sweetie Belle is a robot, she is abducted by the government and forced to defend her right to exist. She endures trial after trial in hopes to earn her freedom.

During this ordeal, she discovers dark secrets about her past.

Princess Luna has invited the Cutie Mark Crusaders to a slumber party in Canterlot Castle. Everything goes according to plan. Throughout the evening however, the princess has her eye on a certain filly and requires a small 'chat' with her.

A/N: It's best read An Apple's Journey to get a bit of back story on things, but it isn't required to understand a chunk of this story. An Apple's Gift is a semi-continuation of An Apple's Journey, adding some new details with the new Equestria Daily writing prompt that was issued.

Twilight Sparkle assigned Sweetie Belle to practice her teleportation magic for the next Twilight Time while she was away at Canterlot at a royal gathering. During that same day, Sweetie Belle practiced that magic on herself... only to be reduced to a mere inch tall! The worst part is, everything and everypony became giants to her!!

Now she must trek through dangerous territory to Canterlot in hopes of grabbing the attention of Twilight Sparkle so she could restore her back to normal size. That would be cake for Sweetie Belle, if those obstacles didn’t include getting crushed or eaten alive by everypony!!

Scootaloo has problem. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle are determined to help her. Too much of a good thing can be... bad.

Sweetie Belle has lived a great life so far. She was thankful for her loving sister, many friends, and parents that she would do anything for. One day her life is turned upside down. She was reported to the robot police. Now the only things she's thankful for is the pegasus pony Rainbow Dash who watches over her and her will to survive. Sweetie Belle isn't sure where the road will take her, but she walks anyway.
Rated teen for some mild language and gore.

Sweetie Belle has been possessed by some unknown entity. Unknown to everyone including itself. Whatever it is, it has absolutely no memory of who it was and why it now resides within Sweetie Belle's mortal coil. This unknown being must now make full use of their few assets in order return to its former life... Or not. An amnesiac spirit could get used to being Sweetie Belle after all.

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle are well aware of Scootaloo’s trouble flying, but usually they don’t care. They’re Scootaloo’s friends, after all, and her ability to fly has no bearing on that. But this year they’re having trouble coming up with a gift for her birthday, until they get an idea that seems worth a try: Find a way to get Scootaloo into the air under her own wingpower.

Nothing has worked for Scootaloo thus far, but maybe a little friendship can give her a boost.

This story was begun a while back, just before Season 4 in fact, but I really dragged my hooves writing it, so some of it is a bit dated. I picked at it, but was ultimately inspired to really go for it by another fic, "Light the Sky on Fire" by EquesTRON which does this concept WAY better. Nevertheless, I wanted to write some Scootalove and see if I couldn't generate some feels while getting some practice actually finishing a story. I probably should have found a serious editor for it, but I wanted to just get it out there without making up more excuses to procrastinate. If even one other person enjoys it, I'll consider it a success.

Luna awakens to find herself in a strange, frightening realm filled with churning darkness and eerie silence. With no idea how she'd gotten there, her only mission is to find her way back home. But this place is mysterious, terrifying and even dangerous. Along the way, she finds another pony who somehow found themselves in this strange place: Little Sweetie Belle. Can they survive?

After all, turning yourself into a balloon isn't easy. That takes talent... and effort. Whether you'd want to is another matter entirely.

Because sometimes waiting for something can be the hardest thing in the world. Sweetie Belle looks around her and sees ponies better at her in so many things, and she wants something special too. Is there anybody out there who can teach her magic, though?

So I got an idea in my head and it refused to leave. Just one of those times where, even though I should be working on other things I've promised and that god knows how many people are waiting for, I decided to do /this/ instead. So sue me. I'm really, really bad at this kind of thing, I think, I'm not at all happy with how this turned out. Then again, I never am, so what do I know?
