In the frozen north of the Equestrian Wasteland lays a city, battered and crippled, but still clinging to life. It is beset on all sides my dangers.

Displaced griffins rage against the ponies they blame for the apocalypse. Madmares brood with their unquestioning minions under mountains of prewar technology. The Unity extends its malefic tendrils to sake it endless hunger for slaves. Unnatural horrors stalk the forests, consuming all in their path. A dozen factions rage against each other in wars of words, caps, secrets and fire, tearing at the very foundation of The Sovereign City. All the while an ancient threat prepares to once again, bathe its self in the blood and anguish of ponies.

Welcome to Flankorage.

Frost Windchill is known to be a storyteller of sorts. Comfortable with telling the occasional sprite tale or legend, a child approaches him one day and asks for a real story.

And so Frost tells one- the story of his life. It's not a typical story, and there's more to it- just as there's more to the descendant of a Lunar Guard. It's a story not just of himself but the heroes he stood beside- big and small, legendary and obscure. But there's something amiss, buried lies between the lines.

After all, it's hard to kill memories when you remember everything.

How much will his life change in such a harsh wasteland after the cushy life he has lived?

The following is a midquel to my previous completed work, Fallout: Equestria - Outlaw.

Violence and death are an everyday thing in the Wasteland. When you see ponies dying around you on a daily basis–some by your own hoof–you tend to grow numb to it. When the ponies dying are the ones fighting at your side, when the ponies dying are the very first ponies you could ever call your friends and there's not a single thing you can do about it, though...

Suddenly you're not so numb anymore.

This story follows an earth pony plumber or "mechanic" fresh out of Stable 45 named Speak Easy,
or 'Spaz' if you want to annoy him.
He's attempting to make a living in the harsh reality that is the Wasteland.
A virgin of the waste, if you will.
No wait, that's not very good terminology...

Speak Easy doesn't have much of a goal other than you know,
not die.
Even though he has less survival skills then a legless sheep trying to fight against a pack of wolves...

But hey, if a Pipbuck technician can do it...

Follow him through his "journey" as he attempts to make a living doing Odd Jobs with some griffin who keeps on changing her name that he befriended out of pure chance, meeting strangers and making friends (that sometimes want to kill him) as he discovers the wasteland and the many living, usually deadly creatures that inhabit it.

The setting of this story will mainly take place in The Long Walk, where trade rules;
and where there's money, there's bandits, raiders, and poverty.
Keep in mind to stay close to the road, because there are things roaming the plains that are much scarier than a group of bloodthirsty raiders.

This is a fan story based off of Kkat's Fallout:Equestria, so if you haven't read that yet, please do that now.
I don't really know how much this story relates to or follows the lore of FoE or the other amazing side-stories like Project Horizons, Pink Eyes, Heros, Murky Number Seven, etc.
but it should still pan out well hopefully and be a fun read

blah blah blah

The Equestrian Wasteland is a huge place, filled with all sorts of interesting ponies; each with their own unique and interesting stories. This is the story of a mare who is simply trying to survive day-to-day, without any big adventures happening. However, it seems like fate has other plans.

Stable 14 is an okay place to live. It’s a large system of safe and comfortable rooms underground, sheltering ponies for countless years. Living within this Stable is Cobalt Blue, an earth pony colt who lacks a cutie mark and the ability to stay focused. He spends his free time crawling around the vast complex of Stable 14, trying to combat his boredom. But, of course, he has to stay inside the Stable; leaving it and heading out into the Horseshoe Wasteland (assuming it even exists) would be breaking the rules. But yes, Stable 14 is an okay place to live, and nothing will ever change that...

...until Cobalt’s tenth birthday. When a sudden block in the ventilation system is blamed on his little adventures, he finds himself trying to escape his own mother - along with everypony else inside. They’ve gone crazy trying to find and punish him for putting all of their lives at risk, and his father isn’t there to protect him. Grabbing everything he can, Cobalt escapes the Stable and runs away into the Wasteland. Now he truly has no future; no cutie mark, no friends, and no idea where anything is. But it IS a new place, and he does so love exploring...

- This story is tagged as Comedy rather than Sad because, in my opinion, it has more of the former than the latter; however, expect there to still be sadness abound. It's a Fallout Equestria story, after all.
- I've edited this story to take place in a "different" Wasteland so that I won't be trying to use locations or events from the original Fallout Equestria story, and to avoid confusion.

Surprise is a young pegasus mare eking out a modest existence as a third-rate Enclave soldier in the Primum Mobile Military Base, a remote weather outpost on the edge of the cloud cover. Life in the Equestrian Wasteland below is a constant fight for survival, but above the clouds, the worst thing Surprise has to deal with are the hallucinations caused by her schizophrenia.
However, when the base discovers a hurricane is headed towards Enclave airspace, Surprise is among those sent into action to try and intercept it. As Surprise quickly learns, though, the impending tempest is no ordinary storm. Rather, it is a militarized pegasus city from before the Great War, possessing enough prewar wonders and horrors to make whoever gains control of it the most powerful pony in the sky...if the city doesn't completely destroy the aerial nation of the Enclave.

Update: Recently O. Hinds, the esteemed editor for Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, was amazing enough to read what currently exists of my story. Here's what he had to say about it, which he has given me permission to share:

“While at times Storm Chasers seems to me an odd story in a way that I cannot seem to put my hoof on, this is only a different quality, not an inferior one. I have found the plot and characters to be interesting, and the mechanical quality of the prose is quite impressive, particularly given Chaotic Dreams's lack of an editor; in Chapter 2 (the latest at this message's time of writing), I noticed only a few errors, and, while it has been much longer since I've read the first chapter, I do not recall anything particularly bad in that, nor did I see frequent errors in the skim I undertook just now. Oh, and the illustrations are pretty good.”
