This story is a sequel to History Lesson

New chapters added as I can. Apologies for the inconsistency.

History Lesson is strongly recommended as prior reading.
(Spoilers for History Lesson.)
(Duh.)

When Starlight Glimmer sabotaged the first Rainboom, she inadvertently created eight broken worlds. In this the eighth world, Chrysalis, Sombra, and a resistance led by the new Element bearers wage war against one another for control of Equestria. Princess Twilight Sparkle has tasked Starlight with restoring harmony, hope, and love to this version of Equestria; but with so much war, death, and destruction, can life ever return to the way it was supposed to be?

History Reimagined follows the path of a hypothetical eighth fallen timeline not depicted in Friendship is Magic.

Non-Con tag for implied acts only. Sex tag for discussed acts. Gore and violence tags for mild gore and fantasy violence.

It has been nearly two hundred years since the megaspells rained fire down on the world, reducing it to a tainted wasteland. The ponies of Equestria get on by, but only just.

A lucky few survived in great underground shelters, the stables. Among these is the lost, and almost mythical, Stable 84. It was said that the stable in question was home to not ponies, but creatures who could change their faces with but a thought.

But that was just a myth, there was no way that the Equestrian Hive was real. Right?

(Be warned, spoilers for Fallout Equestria, Project Horizons and Pink Eyes may occur.)

The Great and Powerful Trixie was a mare with a mission. She would show that deceitful arrogant purple librarian, and all of her uncouth friends, who the real magician really was! She would show them all just why she was called The Great and Powerful, and make them regret ruining her life!

She would face that know it all upstart in a magical duel, defeat her completely and prove once and for all exactly who was the greatest Unicorn to ever live!

Of course, there was just the small hiccup in her plan of finding a way to overpower what The Great and Powerful Trixie was unpleasantly certain had to be one of the strongest magic users she had ever seen this side of an actual Princess.

But that was but a pesky little problem for one as resourceful and knowledgeable as Trixie, for as everypony knew, you could find absolutely anything in Canterlot, as long as you had the money to pay for it of course.

And if the rumors held true, that old saying was particularly fit for an odd little curio shop deep within lower Canterlot’s shadiest district.

This little idea started to really bug me after seeing a particular video in this Displaced thread. Egging me on with the question: Exactly how did Trixie find the Alicorn Amulet in a mere curio shop?

After a futile struggle trying to deny it, I conceded defeat and allowed my muse to have her way and developed the plot bunny that was born from watching said video, and here we are. This little one-shot depicts an alternate look at exactly where and how Trixie acquired the Alicorn Amulet.

Hope you all enjoy it.

Timeline wise this takes place after Boast Busters but before Magic Duel.

Ever since Twilight Sparkle has arrived in Ponyville, Caramel has always had a soft spot for the mare. He never found himself in love with her, but there was no doubt that Caramel found her attractive. One day, the stallion gets the idea to give the now Princess of Friendship some flowers and thank her for what she has done. Only one problem, or rather two: the first is that Caramel is giving flowers to a princess. That in on itself is stressful. But the even bigger issue is how several mares Caramel encounters, not including Twilight Sparkle, think differently of the stallion's kind gesture. Caramel only hopes to make Twilight happy; nothing more.

This story is a sequel to Friendship is Forever

(More of a concurrent side story rather than a sequel)

Twilight Sparkle, distraught by the death of Rainbow Dash, begins to bend new laws made by Celestia to benefit the remaining Elements of Harmony and the rest of Ponyville.

A side story explaining how Twilight and Celestia's relationship became strained; briefly alluded to in the last chapter of Friendship is Forever. It is highly recommended that Friendship is Forever be read before this.

Fluttershy's skills in flying are sketchy at best, but when Spitfire and Soarin chance by a monster attack in town, it is apparent that the timid little mare has been hiding some impressive talent, skills good enough to warrant recruitment into the Wonderbolts. There's just the issue of the house-eating monster between them and her.
