A sequel to All These Midnight Days.

Sunset Shimmer has returned from the Mirror Universe in order to work with her friend and mentor, Princess Twilight Sparkle, now the Ruler of Equestria, on a personal project, only to be waylaid by the announcement that her other friend, Starlight Glimmer, is soon to give birth. What a happy occasion!

However, not all is as it seems. And when the newborn foal bears more than a striking resemblance to a certain Alicorn, the very fate of the universe will hinge upon the greatest sacrifice a mother can be called upon to make.

And in the end, is one child's happiness worth the entire world?

Twilight's efforts to guide Equestria into a new era of peace and harmony are constantly interrupted by Starlight, who keeps popping up randomly at the most inconvenient moments.

It happens a lot, put it that way. Better get used to it.

Discord breaks a promise, and Chrysalis is not happy about it. She wants to give him a piece of her mind.

There's a new place in town that everypony's been talking about. It seems out of place and carries with it an air of mystery, an ominousness nopony can explain, and yet it feels strangely...harmless. No one knows what its for, but those who've been inside always say the same thing. The owner is a bit...chaotic.

After a thousand years spent trapped on the Moon, Princess Luna is officially back home.

Tired and weary, she would truly like nothing more than a nice, long sleep.

Sadly, Princess Celestia has other plans for her dear sister.

Chrysalis and Celestia do battle in Tartarus. Chrysalis struggles against Celestia's might, yet she keeps fighting, her anger fueling her burning hatred for Celestia and all the ponies of Equestria. Despite that, she doesn't want to win... She wants something so much more.
