Twenty long years come and go, allowing Princess Twilight and company to grow apart chasing down their own dreams. Having attained a time of peace in all of Equestria once more, Celestia feels that her faithful students have experienced full enough lives to be prepared for one final task; the founding of a kingdom they can all call their own.

Placed on the shoulders of Twilight Sparkle, the young princess accepts the mission and rounds up her friends to share in one last adventure together. A caravan of settlers and a small collection of royal guards are placed under Princess Twilight's charge, and the Mane Six must forage on to the destination of their new home.

After initiating what seemed like the simplest of tasks, Twilight and company begin to experience the hardships of both the journey, and the strain that exists between their once strong relationship. A dark, new shadow now looms over the would-be founders, patiently biding it's time to exact bitter-sweet revenge on the band of ponies for a long-forgotten wrong. Can the Mane Six get it together before a nightmare descends upon them, or will the trials of time prove too great to overcome?

The Everfree Forest has invaded. Ponyville is in disarray and Celestia and Luna have disappeared. While Twilight and the others scramble to find the cause of it, Private is caught in the middle of the invasion. When an old enemy returns, can Private Eye defeat him this time? All while this is going on the Everfree is hiding a dark secret from the past. It's up to Private to uncover it. But, should some secrets remain unfound?

While waiting for Rarity to arrive to meet with Spike for something special, the dragon encounters Big Macintosh. The two start to chat and Big Mac shares some advice with the dragon. Will Spike be able to take his words to heart?

Written for Valentine's Day/Hearts And Hooves Day 2014.

For most of his life Spike has yearned to be treated as more than a hatchling; only five years younger than Twilight by all rights he should be considered a young adult, or at least a teenager, by pony standards.

His mind, though still developing, is at times equal to an adult pony's thanks to the many years he spent working alongside his studious caretaker. When forced to focus can could quickly outpace and outwit most colts his age.

His body on the other hand is tiny and adorable.

As with all dragons the pace of his growth matches the demands of the world around him; with the carefree, relaxed life of a librarian's assistant there have been few demands a baby dragon's form could not meet. Until now.

Faced with other dragons, rivals and peers much more fit for survival Spike's body has started working overtime to catch him up and prepare him for the long, difficult life of a dragon. Fortunately, this means he will soon have a body that matches his mind; large enough to take care of himself and get a small token or respect now and then.

Unfortunately this means he has hit puberty.

Rarity finally realizes that she has the same feelings for Spike... But it's too late...

Spike seems to have moved on, while Rarity is stuck impressing him and trying to get him to have feelings for her once again. What Rarity doesn't know is Spike still loves her, but he's getting sick and tired of the way she treats him, even though he's a teenager now. Will this be a roller coaster ride for both of our lovelies, or will it end horribly?

Got inspired by the episode Simple Ways... Don't ask... o3o

Spike does not change back after Rarity tells him off during Secrets of My Excess and flees Equestria.

All I do is wait, wait for you to grow up. When you have grown up, we can be together, and all these problems will evaporate. This is my mantra, it is what keeps me waiting for you, because I know that one day we will find happiness.
