Just for fun, Spike and Twilight try to write a Power Ponies fanfiction. Simple and easy fun, right?

Nope.

There are a few things about the fanfiction world Twilight needs to learn if she wants ponies to like her story.

This story is a sequel to Apex

Finding love is hard enough under normal circumstances, but it's even more complicated when you're the tail of a chimera. As much as Irene may want a fairy-tale romance, her fantasies have so far been stymied by her sisters' rather different opinions on the matter, not to mention the limited choice of species available to chimeras (well, to chimeras who want to have children, that is). However, when the orange pony with the delicious pies gets herself cornered during a delivery, she claims to be the personal friend of a dragon... and apparently, he's single!

Long after a war between Dragons and Ponies is ended by Spike the Selfless, the Dragon King decides to tell Princess Celestia about the bits that she hadn't know about Spike's involvement in his quest for peace

After Spike gets his Heart stomped into little pieces will he ever be happy again?

Will another pony fill the hole in his heart?

Can he forget the incident and try another chance at love?

Only time will tell.

“That’s what I don’t get. What is it about a pretty face that makes it so irresistible?” The young drake paused, staring longingly at the gorgeous unicorn. As he focused more on the image of Fleur Dis Lee, his imagination got the better of him, causing his heart to palpitate rapidly. “How does one approach somepony who gives off this vibe of being so…” he paused again, unconsciously licking his lips, “...untouchable?”

Spike and Rainbow Dash are bored. It seems they've done everything there is to do in Canterlot. But when Spike suddenly spots the exotically beautiful Fleur Dis Lee with her friends, an idea sprouts. What will the pair have in store for Fleur?

Spike always thought that his love life was simple: chase Rarity, eventually win Rarity. But a surprise confession from a friend complicates matters in a way he never could have expected.
