Twilight Sparkle's coronation window is much more than just any other stained glass window that hangs in the halls of Canterlot. To Celestia, it is a source of inspiration in times of struggle and strife.

Twilight is ecstatic with her new journal and the prospect of writing her life's adventures, eager to begin. However, one unfortunate event leads to a spiral of terrible luck and decisions, culminating in a horrific tragedy. Twilight fails to cope with her changed life, and as she loses her grip on reality, the journal records it all. Her pain, her fall into madness, and the horrible lengths she will go to in an effort to reclaim what has been lost.

Equestria has fallen. A horrific cataclysm has destroyed all semblance of life, and only one pony remains. Twilight Sparkle's last journal entry is the only remaining evidence left to describe the tragedy that has descended upon her and her friends.

Just what is the Princess of the Night trying to hide? The more Twilight investigates, the more her suspicions grow that an ancient and evil ritual is about to take place. There is only one way to be sure: secretly follow Luna on her journey. But, as Twilight will find out, all knowledge comes with a price...

“What’s it going to be, Princess?” Tirek asked, amused. In that moment, time seemed to slow down and Twilight experienced an inner struggle fiercer than her battle from moments before. Had Princess Luna once experienced this very thing, herself?

Twilight's working on a new spell to get back at Rainbow Dash for her yearly Nightmare Night pranks. But things start to go wrong, and Twilight begins to wonder if this last spell is more than she bargained for.

Twilight awakens alone in a strange and forbidding labyrinth of abandoned halls and forlorn chambers with no memories of how she came to be there. All she has to go on in the dark are a few scattered memories, her intuition, and her Princess's vague warning.
