Fluttershy awakes on Hearth's Warming Day to find a surprising gift waiting for her. Over the next twelve days, Princess Twilight Sparkle continues to send her a chain of amazing presents.

But just what did Fluttershy do to receive such wonderful treasures?

When the weather hasn't been to her animal critters' likings lately, Fluttershy ends up getting many requests from them to change it around their area so that they could play more often. But Fluttershy knows next to nothing about how to control weather clouds. Thankfully, her best friend Rainbow Dash is an expert on weather clouds. So who better to teach her about how to use weather clouds than her?

Unfortunately, they soon learn that this was the worst possible day to ask.

This story is the prequel to this. Since it's a prequel, you probably don't have to read that to enjoy this. But if you've read it, you'll most likely know the direction this takes. The sequel was written before this.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have been together for a few years now, living in their own little house in the heart of Ponyville. But tensions rise as the rigorous demands of Dash's newly formed flying team leave only frayed ends of the bond they once shared.
