Loss. Everyone goes through it, and Princess Celestia is no exception. Over her long life, she has lost many family members and friends.

It is during these moments of heartbreak that a mysterious stranger appears. He doesn't stay for long, and doesn't say much, but he has been there every time Celestia loses someone important.

Who is he? Why is he there? And why is it that Celestia is the only one who can see him?

Twilight was always a studious little filly. She always wanted to learn more, do more. Yet, there was one thing she wondered about more then most. Something she didn't get to see often, given her unicorn prominent home.

Rarity has traveled across the length of Equestria to reach the Pool of Dreams. Her goal? To finally find a stallion worthy of being her boyfriend.

The remains of those who used their wishes carelessly lie strewn around the pool. But Rarity is no fool. She knows exactly what she wants.

Sometimes, a mare just needs to climb a tree and stay there for hours and hours and hours on end. Octavia does not find this amusing, however. On the eve of her big audition for the Royal Canterlot Symphony, she needs her sleep. Unfortunately for her, Vinyl has the keys to their apartment, and she just won't get down from her darned tree.

It's going to be an interesting night... But maybe not for the reasons Octavia suspects.

Discord's upset, as Fluttershy has been spending a considerable amount of time with Treehugger instead of him.

When the draconequus is forced by Fluttershy into promising not to try to send her to another dimension again, Discord figures that the next best thing to solve his little dilemma would be to trick a human hippie from the late nineteen-sixties (A variant of human that Discord finds equally as annoying as Treehugger) into Equestria, all in the hopes of having him 'coincidentally' bump into and befirend the earth pony mare.

Maybe then she'll spend her time with the new creature instead of Fluttershy.

When all of your accomplishments have turned to dust, even the Great and Powerful must fall. After many such failures, Trixie has reached the nadir of her life, the lowest she could possibly sink, and now there is only one option remaining.

She is going to go home to Neigh Orleans in defeat.

That is, unless her Grand-Père Presto can restore Trixie’s confidence in herself with a little magic gumbo and a whole lot of love.

Not long after winning the honor of carrying the Ponyville flag for the Equestria Games, Scootaloo finds herself struggling with schoolwork, friendships, and of course, her inability to fly. While working on an assignment for school, she discovers the existence of a group of powerful psychics that Equestrian royalty consult for many things - including helping parents choose a name for their newborn foals.

Curious, Scootaloo pleads for Princess Twilight Sparkle to meet them and ask the one question that she direly wants to know - "Will I ever be able to fly?"

Despite Princess Celestia's warning, Twilight meets with them - but is the truth worth the price she may have to pay to herself and Scootaloo?

Story takes place after "Flight to the Finish," and then branches from there.

Before Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy could head back home, the Hoofield and McColt families wanted the two to join them for a shared feast to celebrate the new bond between their families. And during that celebration, Twilight happens to find a stack of old letters in the basement of the McColt family fortress.

Seeing that they were written before their feuds, Twilight decides to share them with the families to help unite them even closer. However, things might become awkward when the Princess begins to read them out loud.
