This is the original version of the first story I've ever written, over the course of three months as a brand new writer in late 2014.

I'm including these chapters here as a record of how the story looked when it began. This was the prototype for what would, over many years, become Black Feather. The story has gone through multiple complete rewrites, but this was the initial version. Enjoy reading my clumsy first steps into the world of writing!

Note: I will make the chapters visible again after Black Feather is published to avoid spoilers.

After her thousand year imprisonment, Luna has had problems reintegrating into Equestrian society due to the fact that everypony still fears her. But now, she must face her greatest challenge yet: technology.

Set prior to the events of 'Luna Eclipsed.' This was just a story for fun, so this shouldn't be taken seriously. I'm well aware that this isn't my best writing, but it was such a silly idea that I couldn't resist.

[One-Shot]

Princess Luna, purged of the Nightmare the day before, has officially been welcomed back into power and into the alleged loving embrace of the populace. Though in quite a weakened state from the whole ordeal, she cannot seem to sleep anymore come the evening.

So, she decides to take a walk. She may very well find more than a mere cure for her sleeplessness.

1,000 years of banishment can really force a pony to rethink her life's choices. Now that she has returned, Princess Luna is starting to realize everything that she has missed since her departure, including the death of her beloved friend Snowdrop. As Luna and Celestia release Snowdrop's very first, and last, snowflake, Luna yearns to say goodbye to her beloved friend.

But doing so may prove to be more dangerous than Luna imagined.

The code of the alicorn is that only those lucky enough to be born that way will stay immortal -- meaning that those who ascend have the same life expectancy as any other normal pony. One wouldn't think that as a problem, but for Twilight Sparkle, she dwells on it. Falling in love with Princess Luna wasn't planned, but she's glad it happened...

...until time ticks on, and age is knocking at the door.

Certain alicorns have no regard for the rules of space and time. An astral sub-dimension becomes a potent weapon in what appears to be a divine prank war. Shining Armor hits the sauce.
