Quizzical Greystone has never foal sat. As usual, her first time she begins by falling in at the deep end - she has to watch the Cake twins. It's an imposing task for a pony like Quiz, even under the best of conditions. Tonight, conditions are far from perfect.

Dr. Shady Stalker is Equestria's most famous naturalist, and he is conducting the first detailed study of the ecology of the Everfree Forest. He generously offered to take the foals of Ponyville Elementary on a field trip. They only intended to visit the part of the Forest already surveyed, so it should have been perfectly safe. But they're all over due, and there is no sign of the children or their famous tour guide.

Princess Luna considers taking a student to mentor, and while looking for the perfect unicorn she finds, instead, Quizzical Greystone. This is a prequel to Quizzical, and might be thought of as a prologue to that story (but you really should read Quizzical first).

The Mayor of Ponyville welcomes a new, glorious day in Ponyville. Her clerk deals with the day-to-day business of the town. After a thousand years, ponies will join together to welcome Luna's night. The celebration, and after. Bring muffins!

Disaster has struck three little ponies. Sweetie Belle has a terrible case of hiccups and it's up to her friends to find somepony to help before their fellow Crusader finds herself with a cutiemark for hiccuping... then they'd never stop!
