Opposites don’t attract. There is no way a forthright, friendly girl like Applejack and a sarcastic backbiter like Adagio would ever fall for each other.

And yet, here we are.

Set a couple days after the near-disaster that was Rarity's fashion debut for new up-and-coming designers (Honest Apple), this story is about two ponies who tried to ignore and shove away their feelings.

After Rarity finds out from Apple Bloom that Applejack sometimes goes out to some unknown location in the orchards to work off stress. And that she's been gone out there for a couple days this time, she makes her way to Sweet Apple Acres; determined to find out what is wrong with her friend.

Rarity refuses to love anypony not proper and perfect enough for her. After all, she only deserves the best! But, of course, it's a certain farm mare who starts showing her affections. And Rarity starts giving requirements for a proper courtship, but what'll she do when that farm mare completes all her requirements, all with that same unique charm?

Having completed their very first friendship mission, Applejack and Rarity soon find out that they're stuck in Manehattan for the night.

Perhaps it could be that "friendship" wasn't what the map had in mind at all.

Rarity has nowhere to go on Hearth's Warming Eve, so she decides to pay Applejack a visit at Sweet Apple Acres. She should have known that they'd end up arguing.

Together, the two mares must find a way to salvage the evening. And Rarity has to figure out how to keep hiding her crush on Applejack - a task getting harder by the minute.

Or maybe tonight's the night she should finally confess...

Rarity has been coping well with the fact that Rainbow Dash and Applejack had started dating. However, nearly nine months after the fact, her feelings are starting to get the better of her. Fluttershy tries to help her resolve those feelings. What happens within might be a little surprising.
