At what should have been a routine doctor's visit, Applejack learns that she can never bear foals of her own. After an emotional breakdown, her friends do their best to calm her.

However, as the discussion develops, nopony is prepared for Twilight's revelation: the grand event which brought them together has left a hidden scar within each of them.

Tempers flare, relationships are strained, and the strength of their friendship is tested as each must come to terms with her newfound sterility.

Rainbow Dash has finally achieved everything she's ever dreamed, so why isn't she happy? Applejack comes along to help her sort things out, but she has her own issues that need sorting. So, lets discuss. Surely the magic of friendship can cure ennui. Right?

Heart's Warming Eve... a time of celebration for the good, and for friends and family. It is a season enjoyed by just about every single pony in Equestria, Applejack included.

While enjoying the festivities with her friends and family, she goes off on a short, yet significant journey. Her reasoning is simple and personal.

There are two special ponies she needs to pay an annual visit to.

A long time ago, Applejack ran away to Manehattan. For a while, it seemed like she would've stayed there. But something changed her mind and she came back to Ponyville.

Now she's come back with her friends, and old memories have surfaced. There are a few things that Applejack dreads about this trip, but what she dreads most is meeting someone again—an old friend.

While visiting Ponyville, Shining Armor meets Big Macintosh and the two quickly hit it off as best buds. However, they soon find that Twilight and Applejack may be canoodling with suspicious stallions of the town. Ever alert, the two buffoons big brothers work together to protect their little sisses from the male persuasion. The result can only be hilarity.

Apple Bloom discovers that she has a loose tooth, and it's rather unpleasant. She not only suffers from a diet excluding her favorite snack, but she suffers her friends' "help" as well.

(This fic took way too long to write. The first version was edited by ocalhoun months ago, and the final version was edited by Kevinltk more recently. I must thank both of them for offering their superb editing skills, as this fic would have been drastically worse without them.)

Rainbow Dash wants the latest Daring Do. And she'll get it, even if it means sharing the only book in Cloudsdale with the biggest jerk in Cloudsdale.

Applejack lives comfortably in her life of thankless farm work. Sometimes, though, she can't help but feel insignificant beneath everything life keeps throwing at her. When her little sister asks her to help practice for a school play, she is reminded of her own youth, back when she dreamed of being a famous actress in Manehattan. But that was all just childishness, she keeps telling herself. However, with a some subtle encouragement from Rarity, Applejack does something that she never thought she would ever again.

Applejack has always been a pony everypony could rely on, honest, hard working and reliable. But can she be honest with herself?

Twilight Sparkle has done much for Equestria. If it weren't for her, Equestria would be destroyed three times over by now.

So what happens when she has to leave? What happens when she and Spike are forced to depart from Equestria in order to fulfill their duties? And what happens when there's still important things at home to do?

Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash now have to get along without the one who leads them. All of Equestria is counting on them. Can they do it?
