In the time before the three pony tribes became one, a rampaging monster tears apart a noble caravan. Now the baron’s shattered family must put itself back together—with one remarkable addition.

After a near-death experience concerning a manticore, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are faced with their own reactions, or lack thereof.
But what would their sisters have done in their place? And is it possible that they're not as perfect as the fillies always thought of them?

Sweetie Belle has a problem, a rather tall problem.

Applejack and her friends have taken a vacation in Fillydelphia. After meeting up with some family in town, Applejack begins her trek back to her hotel in the pouring rain. She walks slowly, hoping that an old friend would catch up with her along the way...

With the crops slowing down for the winter, Applebloom staying the day over at a friend's house, and Granny Smith constantly nagging them to go out and do something fun, Applejack and Big Macintosh decide to go on a hike in Whitetail Woods.

When Carousel Boutique burns down, Applejack offers Rarity and Sweetie Belle a place to stay. But when push comes to shove, Rarity's obsessive neatness begins to drive Applejack up the wall.

Having lost her bow to a day's worth of Crusading, Applebloom is far too distraught over the loss to do as her sister asks and wait until morning to search for it. If she is quick, she can retrace her steps, find her ribbon, and be back in bed before anypony notices.

Right?

With age comes wisdom, and Applebloom is sadly lacking in both. Night on the Everfree Border is no place for a filly, yet still she searches, unaware she is being watched by more than one hunter.
