Spike had watched his friends grow and developed into awesome protectors, defenders, and achieving the impossible through the Magic of Friendship. Spike hears, reads, and watches Twilight's progression of being Celestia's pupil to Princess of Friendship. He's watching her friend accomplishing many goals while he remains a servant with no purpose in life.

Spike has no goals, no motivation, nothing worth fighting for. Just wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat. He has his moments with Twilight and the gang, however, he wasn't going anywhere. Just remaining in a shadow, pondering the days of his existence until he read a comic book that changes his whole dynamic of thinking. After being a die-hard fan of a character he relates too, he decides to strive for the new purpose he wants to achieve; become someone he can be proud of.

So, this is the tales of Spike's ascension to become something greater that he would have ever imagine.

After an urgent summon from Fancy Pants, both Celestia and Luna attend Day court. However, a new precedent is set when Fancy Pants presents a male alicorn to the two princessess, one he found dumpster diving behind his house.

After finally finishing the Fall Harvest, Applejack accidentally falls asleep under the last tree, but then is awakened by the most horrible sound she's ever heard.

Rainbow Dash decides to do something nice for her friend Fluttershy and buys her a rare parrot.

It isn't long before she discovers something not quite right about the bird...

Unicorn Quick Caper and his much larger Earth pony pal Mugger, have had it with constantly having their schemes thwarted by the savvy law enforcement of Manehatten.

So when they hear about a fair-sized hamlet out in the middle of nowhere, stuck right beside the Everfree Forest and the main city of Canterlot, they see this as the perfect opportunity to snag some quick bits from the unsuspecting rubes that travel between the Forest and the way to Canterlot.

What could be more simple?! Avoid those pesky, nosy Bearers, lie in wait along the Road, jump out and surprise anypony with enough bits! With Caper's brains and Mugger's muscle, they'd soon be rolling in cash! Profit!

It started out as a perfectly normal day. After a picnic with all her friends, Twilight just wanted to get back into her castle. The day just got weirder.

One particular visitor is a gentle stallion from Hoofgaria, who, armed with a phrasebook he'd purchased from a pair of twin unicorn brothers who had assured him would make his stay in Equestria a pleasant one, decides to go shopping one afternoon soon after his arrival.

After the cultural exchange between Humans and Ponies has begun, a certain game is attempted to be played in Equestria. It is met with less than stellar results.

The San Francisco Police Department never called Adrian Monk for the easy cases. And this was one of the weirdest.

A top scientist had been found dead...at least, the part they found. He had been found lying with half of his body inside what appeared to be some sort of portal...and the other half? No one knew. Foul play was not suspected until it was revealed that his assistant was also missing, along with a device that could have dire implications for the Multiverse...
