However, after the Battle of the Bands, Luna finds a kindred spirit in the last place she would ever have thought to look.

And that kindred spirit isn't afraid to tell Luna what she really thinks.

As Aegis Altair watches over her queens haggling with the minotaur emperor, she finds something that just might give Phoenix's Roost the edge it needs to come out on top.

Having fully embraced her new changeling heritage, Twilight Sparkle turns to the past to learn more about her people. A difficult task, given that every other queen cares next to nothing about it.

What she finds will shed unwanted light on a secret better left forgotten.

She knows Princess Twilight, and so when she realizes she's made a big discovery, she's eager to run to the castle and tell everypony the good news. But when she goes into Ponyville, they don't seem very happy to see her.

Why would that be? She didn't do anything wrong.

Rainbow Dash has an unusual way of learning, and Twilight’s determined to take advantage of it. Before she knows it, Rainbow’s worst fears become reality and her life unravels before her eyes as she becomes the smartest pony alive.

There are only two ponies not joining in on Rainbow's break down. One's a stoic, so the reason is obvious. But what about the Princess of Friendship? Isn't empathy in her job description? And not a single tear.

Frankly I'm surprised anybody thinks this is good. As mentioned in a tiny blog blurb, I don't plan on revisiting this story because I have other terrible crap to write. I'm sorry for subjecting the internet to this.
But if you think this is bad, just be grateful I don't publish the droll I wrote in High School.
