A thousand years is a long time to be alone in the darkness. But it wasn't the darkness that hurt Luna, no, the darkness was part of her. What hurt her was the fact that the pony whom she loved more than anyone else in the entire world... was the very one who banished her.

Darkness isn't an entity.

Darkness is merely an absence of light.

And if Celestia is the light, what does that make Luna?

Whinnypeg is probably the smartest horse that anyone had the pleasure of meeting, but Twilight Sparkle isn't impressed with her, and would rather go back to Equestria with Sunset Shimmer to go shopping. Too bad that Whinnypeg wants to go too. Even worse, is how the portal reacts to a horse going into Equestria.

Retired Princess Celestia writes a goodbye letter to Twilight Sparkle, before embarking with Luna on a journey.

An attempt at following a silly concept into the deepest depths of its burrow. Kinda dark at the start. Mainly surreal for the rest.

I've been working on a completely separate My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic story for the past year, and as of this blurb I'm about eighty thousand words into it, but it's not ready for publishing. Early on in the writing of that story (March 2011), I decided to write a quicker spinoff story of The Conversion Bureau, which I saw on the Equestria Daily blog. The initial story seemed to get mixed reactions, but regardless of how people felt about the story itself, folks were having fun writing spinoffs. I thought it'd be fun too, so here's what I came up with.

Contains a smattering of bad language and gun-related violence.

In the last five years humanity has been brought to its knees by the conversion movement and the purification that has followed. Now in its final hour the last survivors of this once great race will make their last stand. Set in the Conversion bureau: Ten Rounds universe.

Celestia remembers. There is nothing else left for her to do.

Scootasynopsis: Following a potion mishaps at Zecora's, the Cutie Mark Crusaders accidentally spread a highly-contagious magical curse. It's an incredibly mundane, banal and tame joke-magic curse, but in Ponyville, that's enough to set ponies off in a Scootariot.

Written experimentally, with a premise but no planning, so the plot was written wherever the characters took it.
