When a mishap occurs with Celestia's bathroom scale, an ancient protocol that may just doom Equestria is set into motion. With the entire palace staff now conspiring against her, the sun goddess must not only contend mountains of paper work, dancing celery sticks, and steroid pumped stallions, but a sister who will take this chance to torture Celestia any way she can as payback for her banishment. The story begins hundreds of years after the TV show. Twilight Sparkle has outlived the rest of her friends, serving as Court Sorceress under Luna's reign. After Celestia loses her mind and succumbs to dementia, Twilight sends herself back in time to be with her friends once again. But she quickly learns that no pony is time's master.

Canterlot vanishes in a mysterious explosion, an explosion which engulfs all of Equestria. Twilight manages to save herself, but the world she finds herself in is not the one she remembers. Her friends have no memory of her, the world is trapped in darkness, and Celestia is missing. Can Twilight figure out what's happened to her and the rest of Equestria before the darkness overwhelms her?

Celestia and Luna were not the original rulers of Equestria. What does this mean for Twilight? Explore the past and future of Equestria through the changes Twilight will experience.

The tyrannical Shadow Stallion oppresses Equestria, coating the land in a thick layer of clouds, tightly controlling the population. Three children, the unicorns Celestia and Luna, along with a Draconequus, Discord, must live up to their fate. They must find the Elements of Harmony and take up their rightful place as Equestrias new gods and saviors.
