Tempest Shadow is a unicorn who has pride in her work, friends that care for her, and every reason to be happy. There are a few factors in her life that keep her wondering if she is doing what she should. No longer content to allow those things to control her life, she seeks an audience with Celestia, so she can finally find freedom.

The story is part of the Pandemic AU, but does not require prior knowledge of that universe.

Written in a universe where Spike acts more mature, and Twilight is slightly more adventurous. Both are young adults, though Spike is still considered a juvenile because 'dragon years'.

Set in the Pandemic Universe (which existed well before the very real pandemic and this is in no way shape or form related to that) and takes place after the original story, though that’s not required to read.

All dreams start somewhere. For most night ponies, they start in the dreamscape itself, but that's not always the case for all. Two months after the ETS Pandemic changed the world forever, a bright, optimistic dream starts, whether the ponies responsible for it realized it or not. While some choose to cling to the past, some choose to leave it behind. This is the story of one of those ponies, Silver Eclipse, crafter of dreamscapes and dreams. In the waking world he helped create a dream called Oasis, a place where dreams can come true. But all dreams start somewhere, and this is the story of where that dream started, and the very special pony without whom it would never have happened.

Halira's stories, What you are Meant to Be and Picking up the Pieces offer some expanded night pony lore which introduce and expand on some of the concepts in this story, but it's not necessary to read. The original story is also recommended if you'd love to learn more about this universe.

For many long years, Twilight Sparkle worked to try to reform Cozy Glow. She'd be released from her stone prison periodically for a new reformation attempt, and she'd inevitably end up trying to conquer Equestria again. Being turned into a statue became a regular habit for her over the years. There were always more chances to conquer Equestria, always another attempt to reform her, and she wasn't aware of the passage of time each period she was committed to her prison.

Until one day, she was released again—only to find no one was there.

Rainbow Dash can't help but notice how hard the Leader of the Wonderbolts works, and decides to force the issue of her getting some time away from paperwork, and duties, and just relax. Spitfire of course is against this, but goes along to see just exactly what this "Appleloosa" place has to offer.

It's Applebloom's favorite time of the year, the day she gets to plan out the yearly Apple Family Reunion with her big sister Applejack!.. although this year's has a twist. As it turns out, the Apples have an old branch of the family out in Hollow Shades who have never been invited, the mysterious Blood Oranges...

Not knowing why they were excluded for all these years, Applebloom invites them to the reunion and the Blood Oranges are more than happy to meet the family they never knew they had... but how will that family react when a group of bat ponies show up? Only time will tell…

Silver Spoon never expected her life to go this way as a filly, but she was happy with how it turned out. She had a good career, a loving wife, and good friends. Teaching at Ponyville Elementary was a job she loved, and like all good teachers, she cared deeply for the needs of all her students. But sometimes that attachment can grow to something more, and for one student, she is willing to do whatever it takes to see he has a loving home, even if that means bringing him into hers.

So when the Cutie Mark Crusaders start discussing amongst themselves the meanings of their classmates cutie marks they come to a puzzle in Silver Spoon.

What is an earth pony doing with a cutie mark of something she can't effectively use?
