Anon has roamed the earth for countless years now. All of his friends have long since moved on from this world, leaving only him to remember the way things once were.

But maybe tonight, that can change. Not all at once, but slowly, with just a gentle push, maybe things can begin to go back to the way they used to be.

Just a silly little short story that I had a sudden burst of inspiration for. Sorry if it isn't the most polished, but I had a blast writing it ^^

The Cutie Mark Crusaders have tried everything they could to get a cutie mark.

Or did they?

After a sarcastic half-advice, the trio starts on a new journey; to earn their cutie marks fighting in the mysterious "arena of politics". First thing's first - find out what this "politics" thing even is.

It's surprisingly hard to figure it out.

With the warning out of the way, what is this?
This, is my very first attempt at writing a story from back in 2012. It's... not good, to say the least. At the time of posting, it was torn apart by the few brave souls who read it, but there was also some constructive criticism involved, which helped me tremendously down the line.

I eventually deleted this out of shame, not wanting this story to stain my rep so to speak. But now, I think it's funny how bad it is, and I though I'd bring it back to serve as an example for aspiring writers.

Nobody is good at what they do when they start out, and this is proof. I hope that somebody sees how garbage this is, and maybe gets the courage to write something themselves.

Twilight has a brand new theory. She has theorized that it is possible to create pocket dimensions and a way to enter them. Facing the ridicule of the rest of the theoretical magic community she has set forth to prove them wrong. She will construct a portal and enter it.

Sometimes you get scared and need to sleep in somepony else's room. It's okay. It happens to everypony. Sometimes, it even happens to everypony all at once.

When it does, excessive cuddling ensues...

Takes place during season 1 because it wouldn't make sense anywhere else.

The weak Princess sits on her throne. Guards—and a dragon—keep monsters behind the door. The Elements concentrate on a spell. Fewer guards return in each instance.

And more of Spike is eaten by non-existence.

For the first Nightmare Night since her crowning ceremony, Twilight chose to organise a celebration of sorts in Canterlot. Some nobles suggested a play. Some, a parade. An end to the discussions came when Pinkie suggested both.

It came to happen, unfortunately, that just hours before the playrade one of the actors twisted his ankle. The one tasked with playing the role of Death. Once again, Pinkie came to the rescue with her own solution.

Twilight really wished she hadn't.

A chance to speak with those who are long gone is something that's hard to pass up. Sunny imagines what she could learn from the ponies of the past, what she could learn about the fate of ancient Equestria. Maybe she could even talk to her dad again.

Is that chance worth the risk of using magic she doesn't understand?
