Have you ever heard of a mare named Faust? She's an Alicorn, just like the Princesses, but not a princess herself. Some say she's a queen, some say she's their mother. The truth, well... she's really overworked. And with her duty as The Equestrian Archivist she has a pretty demanding job. But what happens when this overworked alicorn decides that she wants to take a vacation in Ponyville? Furthermore, what'll happen when she skips out on her job to take that vacation?
(My first story! A different take on Fausticorn, I've seen her given a general persona that just doesn't seem like what I saw in the original art. So here's my idea of what she might be like. Tags will be added as the story continues.)
HOLY.... F-Featured on December 21 2014! Thanks guys! That is amazing!
It’s Princess Luna’s first Hearth’s Warming since she returned from her banishment, and her first in Canterlot Castle. Things have changed in Equestria, and it will take her time to catch up with the current day and age.
Perhaps some sisterly bonding is a good place to start.

War is brewing in the northern reaches of Equestria.
Well, not really. Or at least, let’s hope not. Hearth’s Warming Eve is only a week away, and a war would really murder everypony’s holiday spirit.
Fortunately for Equestria, Princess Celestia has a plan to stop the war before it even gets started, just in time to save the holidays. Unfortunately for Princess Luna, her sister's absence means she has to dress up in a red suit, head over to the local mall, and listen to the children of Canterlot prattle on about their asinine wish-lists.
She'd rather be going to war.
Happy Jinglemas, Level Dasher!
Pre-reading thanks to Semillon, who is sensational, and Mousse, who is marvelous, and also provided the dope-as-hell cover art. Look at it. Looklooklook.
When Luna reconnects with Twilight, Cadence, and Flurry Heart for the first time in decades, she realizes that she is short. Celestia has a little fun at her expense.

When I hear the way ponies talk about Trixie, all they can see the showmare. They only see the performer claiming to be the greatest magician ever, and while most of the crowd will happily enjoy her wonderful show, some of those ponies just dismiss her as a braggart and a fraud.
They don't know her. They don't know how Great and Powerful she really is.
Sombra's takeover took everyone in the Crystal Empire by surprise. No one saw it coming, none were prepared for it, and almost no one got away. Almost.
A few hooffuls of daring souls managed to break out of the city and flee southwards, towards Equestria. Some ran to beg the Princesses for aid, others - just to save themselves and their families from the mad tyrant.
But as the refugees are about to learn, it's the dead of winter outside the Empire's shield, and the crystal ponies are far too used to their warm life in the city. One filly that gets separated from her parents while trying to get away learns that fact all too painfully...
