You've been at Canterlot High for about a year, and you made some cool friends,the most notable being that shy girl with the pink hair.

But, one day, as youre walking home from school, you hear a commotion in an alleyway. Curiosity got the best of you, and what you find is not pleasant.

A shady adult is harassing — probably even mugging — the shy girl.

After the defeat of Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra, and Twilight becoming an alicorn and new princess, The Mane 6 and Spike send an invitation to Sonic and friends so they can celebrate with her. All things are going well, until a mysterious pony steals Twilight’s crown and escape into a portal, which leads to a different world. Making no hesitation, Sonic jumps in first as Tails, Amy, Twilight, Knuckles, and lastly Spike following along.

The new world they ended up in was completely different from Equestria, but the big change was that Twilight was a human. Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles were that same, except they were taller now. And Spike was a dog. With these changes, they must face school itself in order to get the crown back.

This story is a sequel to Once Upon a Heartbeat

Sunset loves Pinkie. Pinkie loves Sunset. Nothing could change that, duh. They smile, laugh, cry, fight. Their hearts are wild, but they sure do sing.

Sunset Shimmer's and Pinkie's Pie's love continues to blossom with every heartbeat. I'd recommend reading the previous story which includes background of their relationship. Although, it's not completely necessary.

Rated ‘teen’ because they talk about underwear... I don’t really know how this story qualifies.
