Sequel to "Friend is Empathy."

After the events of "What About Discord?" Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle each find their dreams troubled by nightmares. Princess Luna provides them a place within their dreams to come together to work out the issues at the heart of their problems: both for recent events ... and older issues.

Twilight Sparkle realizes that Rainbow Dash has been keeping a secret from her ever since the Mare Do Well incident. When she goes to confront her about it, she finds out more than she bargained for. And then Twilight reveals that she's been keeping something from her friends ever since the Royal Wedding. Now everything is out there; harsh words have been spoken and a once strong friendship hangs in the balance.

She didn't think anypony would notice. Nopony ever had before. Not her parents, not her brother, no one.

But then somepony did.

She wasn't ready to be confronted about it.

In hindsight, she was happy that somepony had.

In a fit of pique, Twilight summons the Cutie Mark Inspector to Ponyville to conduct a cutie mark review of the townsfolk. When it transpires that every pony has been interpreting their cutie marks wrong, Ponyville is thrown into chaos. Has Twilight bitten off more than she can chew?

Twilight Sparkle is Dead.

Her friends decide this isn't an acceptable state of affairs and vow to change it.

They really should have compared notes first.

[One-Shot] Twilight Sparkle had been ill since the Summer Sun Celebration. Her illness is unknown and is causing disturbances in her life, but even after being crowned Princess of Friendship, she never gave up on herself or the ones around her.

Since the debacle of the last Grand Galloping Gala, Twilight Sparkle has begun dating an army cadet named Flash Sentry. Things between them are going very well, until Flash decides to invite Twilight to this year's Grand Galloping Gala. What follows will prove to be a night of magic and romance.

Written for the RIGHT BACK AT IT AGAIN! contest, under the prompt 'first kiss'. Set a few weeks after the Season 2 finale.

I am aware the cover art shows EqG characters, but at the time of writing I did not have the time or budget to commission specific cover art.

Twilight sits down with her closest friend and stays with them for possibly the worst moment of their lives.

The first draft was a co-bronze-medalist in the the MLPChan /fic/ writeoff for December 2012.

The talented Ponychan /art/ denizen Spirit Shine provided us with a beautifully poignant portrait of Spike's First New Year's Alone as a picture prompt (also: was gracious enough to let me use the image as a cover). I ran with it and decided to have Applejack kill Spike.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Luna's there to keep him company.
