Now that a former student's transgressions are little more than a footnote in history, it's finally time for a second chance. It's time for Cozy Glow to wake up in the future and find what awaits her in this new world.

Queen Novo has passed, and Skystar's coronation is getting closer by the day. It's a big responsibility to take the throne, and Skystar is worried that she can never be what her people need, can never replace her mother, while she's herself. With Shelly and Sheldon at her side, she decides to undertake the arduous task of trying to grow up. How hard can it be?

A mysterious force of magic has blanketed itself over the land of Equestria. The peaceful day is suddenly plunged into a state of disarray. With something strange going on in the Crystal Empire; Princess Twilight Sparkle, her friend Starlight Glimmer, and number one faithful assistant Spike prepare themselves for the horror they are about to face as they push the boundaries of magic and comradeship.

The friends are forced to investigate the dangers and form a plan to tackle the great enemy while looking after their daily duties. With help from many of the friends Twilight made throughout her life as a student of magic and Princess of Friendship; this is a tale of strength and hope against one of the darkest adversaries Equestria has ever faced.

Author note 2: I started writing this tale Post-season 8 Ep.13 and is adapted to the cannon of Season 8 Ep. 26.
As I'm sure will become obvious to you, I cannot adapt most of this tale to a state post-season 9. I will do my best to match it though, I have a few ideas. So for the moment please, sit back and take yourself back to a pre-season 9 Equestria.

Trixie Lulamoon, the newly appointed guidance counselor at the School of Friendship is making great strides at her new career, however she begins having doubts when she realizes she has only spoke to a hooveful of students. Cozy Glow woke up cold and confused. The last thing she remembered was being turned into stone. Twilight has presented her with an offer, either she can try and be reformed back into a good filly. Or spend the rest of her days locked in the castle dungeons for the rest of her life. The mane six will each take Cozy Glow into their homes to try and reteach her about the magic of friendship.

Luster Dawn enjoys Hearth’s Warming like everypony else. Always spreading cheer with her friends after years of experience but when her teacher, Twilight Sparkle wants her to complete a friendship lesson involving the holiday.

She wants her to find two fillies to understand what Hearth’s Warming is all about. Luckily for Luster, she found two fillies who spend most of their holiday with their parents. She will make sure they will have the best Hearth’s Warming in their childhood.
