Princess Twilight Sparkle, the ruler of Equestria, is hungry at 1am, and she’s in the mood for hayburgers, so she has some sent to her royal castle in Canterlot.

And that’s it. Nothing else happens.

When The Student Six learn of Headmare Starlight's odd decision to have Discord teach them their final lesson of the school semester, the gang is the farthest thing from amused. Not just because of Discord's track record of creating trouble, but because they have come to learn the truth of him being the one who brought King Sombra back, the destroyer of their idol, the Tree of Harmony. Bearing a grudge, the students reluctantly go to Discord's lesson, none the wiser to the fact that there is a familiar villain lurking in the shadows, looking to manipulate the darkness within their hearts...

In an alternate future of cold and ice, the only remaining bastion of Harmony is the Crystal Empire.

Equestria has been gone a long time, and Luster Dawn has never known a world where the magic of harmony and friendship was abundant. Outside the Crystal Heart's protection, there is only snowy wasteland that stretches on for eternity.

Princess Twilight Sparkle has decided it's high time Luster Dawn see the world beyond the Empire's borders, and it just so happens that Flurry Heart wants to come along.

This was written as part of a live write right after the finale aired. Every chapter of this story will probably be written like this, so watch out for me going live with writing!

All good things must come to an end. That is a simple fact of life, however tragic. And now one story is ending, though the participants will never be forgotten.

But while one story must end, another shall begin. This is something Twilight Sparkle will discover for herself... at the close.

Of all the things that Gallus the Griffon has been and thought he would be, lost royalty was never really one of them, but according to Princess Twilight Sparkle, an ancient griffon book indicates otherwise. With that, Gallus returns to the Griffon Empire capital of Griffonstone to try and become their king. However, before he can claim the throne, he must face The Trial of the Throne, an ancient challenge that no one has accomplished in generations.

Twilight Sparkle is now ruling Equestria, Everything is ok. She was in her throne room with Spike, well, until she got a visitor who wanted to talk to her. Twilight is happy to see her Marefriend. They talk a little and even have a date to talk about the future.

The death tag doesn't mean they die, but it does mean that they are talking about the death of their friends.

Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow have all been defeated, and worse yet, imprisoned in stone by the combined powers of Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Discord. Now that they are frozen in stone, they only have themselves. And the three are very quick to tell the other two as to why this is all their fault.

Being Captain of the Canterlot Royal Guard is a tough job be it from dealing with the public or, more often than not, the boredom. In those times, one's own past and thoughts may be a greater adversary than any attempt on the Princess's life.

Gallus comes home after one such mental battle, hoping to find refuge in the one place he knows the enemy can't touch him.

Spoilers for Season 9 Finale and Epilogue

[SPOILER WARNING: This story is set after the events of Season 9, Episodes 24 and 25. Because of that, there are mentions of various things that would require watching the whole season for context. Reader Discretion is Advised.]

After the massive climactic end to the Legion of Doom, Discord knew that his well-intentioned actions had to be rectified in a big way. And since he was directly involved in some of Equestria's most recent events, he already knew who to apologize to first: The Crystal Empire's leaders - Princess Cadance, and Prince Consort Shining Armor.

Even though the couple were already aware of Discord's contributions -- more specifically, how he was the one who revived King Sombra to attack their Empire months prior -- the two were willing to hear him out after he made a formal request for a counsel. Fortunately for them, the remorseful draconequus came prepared with a sincere apology, as well as a couple of thoughtful gifts for the Crystal Empire.
Unfortunately for Shining and Cadance, one of those gifts may have not been nearly as considerate as either of them would've preferred.

A relationship is not always so easy to define, especially when the ponies involved are drawn in different directions. Yet it turns out that sometimes the answer to your problems really do lie in books. Even if you have to write them yourself.

Faced with the implications and changes brought about by Twilight's coronation, Rarity must contend with what it might mean for their relationship. A relationship, you see, that lives and dies by the dozens of books quietly stashed away in the back of her closet. 

One day, she hopes, she'll be able to give them back.
