Luna's last letter let her let her love-laden lamentations live.
Inspired by a chat/brainstorm with Closer-To-The-Sun on the way back from EFNW. And of course, the awesome song by The Who.

Octavia is a high-class pony. Fine alcohol is her wont, and uncouthness her intense chagrin. Such is her surprise to find herself lumbered with an insufferable oaf of a DJ pony. However, sometimes these situations work themselves into a satisfactory ultimatum all the same.
Octavia comes home frustrated one evening. Vinyl cuddles with her to make it better. Short, sweet, silly.
Octavia and Harmonia Philharmonica were on their way to Manehattan, ready to fulfill their duty as granddaughters and visit Nana. Vinyl Scratch and her brother Long Play were traveling back home from a concert in Canterlot, the first that Vinyl had ever attended. Pure serendipity facilitated these pairs' first meeting.
(Inspired by the pure adorableness that is the cover art)

Written for The Competitive Writers Guild . The prompt, "A Journey Home".
Vinyl takes a walk after the wedding before returning home to her roommate, Octavia.

Going to clubs may seem rather odd for you, but you find enjoyment from it because of a certain DJ. You get the chance to meet her after a show, but would she ever feel anything for somepony with your condition?

More experimenting than anything. This was both a challenge and fun to do. Big thanks to slashe720 and Mustank for helping me with this story.

There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.
Princess Luna falls comatose and is revived by the love-sick kiss of one of Celestia's guards. As a reward, she leads him to the ancient hidden barracks of her long forgotten guardian force. Their slowly blossoming romance gives birth to a breed of royal guard not seen in 1,000 years. The Lunar Stallions!
