Twilight Sparkle was ecstatic to become the personal student of the princess, if only she knew what that entailed. Celestia only wanted to use Twilight's magic as a weapon, to crush any who would oppose her, but in order to do so, Twilight needed to be broken first.

Scientists thought they could create something stronger than friendship, something to keep Equestria safe. Beings more powerful than anything else. Alicorns. Made from nothing but machine parts and magic. But soon, they make not only alicorns, but unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies blended into the mix.
Soon they lose track of who's real and who's fake.

Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic, Hero of Equestria and first casualty in the Changeling war. When she passed she became the rallying cry for the Equestrians in the short lived war. When Chrysalis attempts a surprise attack on Canterlot a mysterious figure in armor appears and slays Chrysalis in front of the princesses. Now it's time they learn that anyone can change.

Staring out at the desert i cant help but wonder how if i could have done better. Was there a way that i could have proven that it wasn't cadence at the wedding? Maybe if i had i would be home in Equestria in stead of here at Enotita. Maybe i would still be a unicorn instead of a kirin. Maybe i would still be a scholar instead of a guard. Maybe i would still be the prince's student. Maybe.

In an alternate timeline, Twilight Sparkle never became an alicorn princess. Instead, Star-Swirl the Bearded's spell and the Elements of Harmony brought about the end of her life. Two months later, her friends and loved ones are still in mourning from her passing. But just because Twilight's dead it doesn't mean her friends don't see her anymore...

When Twilight visits the castle of the two sisters, she gets an unexpected visit. Who and what is this tainted soul, and can Twilight afford to risk giving it any peace?

Twilight Sparkle failed her entrance exam, and the consequences were far more deadly than anypony could've predicted.

Where many ponies would see this as a terrible tragedy, a creature only spoken of in the darkest of legends sees the poor filly's fate as an opportunity...

Due to a recent string of ponynappings in Manehatten, some of the ponies in Ponyville are considering the cancellation of Nightmare Night for safety. However, this saddens Twilight because she finally came up with a scare tactic for this year's Nightmare Scare that doesn't include Luna. Using her influence, she convinces the town to hold Nightmare Night and allow her to continue her plan.

However things don't go as expected. When Twilight comes back from Whitetail Woods with the foals, Twilight is hyperventilating and scared out of her mind while the foals are mentally broken. The next day, Twilight seems to be the only one to remember anything. Just what in Equestria did she see?

My first Dark Fic. My only regret was that for once I couldn't come up with an interesting name.
