This diary reveals more than Relic could have ever imagined, not only about Sombra and his kingdom, but about Equestria itself. (Inspired by the injustice done to King Sombra in the show. Also, credit to the artist, whomever he may be.)

When shy Princess Cadence is told she has to help out with a fundraiser for school, she isn't quite sure what to think. She doesn't even know if she's good with kids. When she meets her first clients, the studious, firm Sparkles, she really doesn't think much of her new job. But that's only because she hadn't seen their adorable filly.Soon afterwards, she meets Twilight's even more adorable older brother.

Some of the foals at school tease Dinky Doo about her Mother's infamous clutziness and two-direction eyes. Dinky questions whether Derpy can possibly love her as much as other fillys' parents do, if she's so "different."

Octavia isn't the type of mare to mix up with suspicious crowds. She stays away from ponies who are different from herself, never giving them second thought, never considering the fact that they might be friendly.
But what happens if Octavia doesn't have a choice? What if she needs one of these uncouth ponies she so despises, and avoids at all costs? And mostly, what will her family say if she goes as far as to fall in love with one?

All it takes is a little care in parsing the information, and you’re rewarded with a brilliant origin story that will leaving you smiling and saying, “why didn’t I think of something like that?”
