Warning: cute story with singular dark chapter.
Idea provided by Arcum42. Set in between Season 2 and 3. Apparently really cute, but still too dark to not come with a warning. Comedy tag added for comedic dialogues, situations are slightly more on the comedy side than SoL. Tagging's confusing for this one, so tread carefully.

Trigger warning: mind control, alcohol use by minors, mental abuse, mostly concentrated in one chapter.

Octavia is a mare of refinement, calm, and organisation. She enjoys Ponyville life with Vinyl Scratch, and Vinyl's niece, Scootaloo. She sets boundaries, rules and safety measures that ensure all that creative energy is not spent on self-destructive behaviour, and so far her overly energetic housemate has followed these rules to the letter. Oh, and Scootaloo listens most of the time, too.

So when it is decided the next sleepover will be at Scootaloo's place, Octavia is keen to prove she can succeed where other adults have failed, namely to have a night with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and not have her sanity driven to its breaking point or any pieces of furniture broken beyond repair.

This can only end well.

Twilight Sparkle is successfully fulfilling her destiny as the ruler of a kingdom somewhere. Although she has continued to write to Princess Celestia consistently, the latter has distanced herself in recent years. Twilight writes one final letter to her teacher.

In this My-Little-Dashie-inspired adventure, Fluttershy falls into our world through a transdimensional rip. Travelling across both time and dimension, she wakes up as a filly, lost and confused. After a traumatic first day, she crashes her way through a window and into the life of Drake, a love-scarred 22 year old who has no idea where Fluttershy came from. With the once banished princess of the undead hour, Skullamena Crossbones, trapped on Earth as well, it's up to Fluttershy to (although unknowingly) save Equestria from her vengeful return.

Whilst on her own, Scootaloo decides to help Fluttershy tend to her animals in the hopes of getting an 'animal helper' cutie mark.

But things take a turn for the worse when Fluttershy's chickens simply won't leave her alone, believing Scootaloo to be the re-incarneted chicken goddess.

Twilight Sparkle has overcome many trials and tribulations, all of which have challenged and changed her. Now, as a ruler of a new demesne of Equestria, she must face the world in a new light and learn the rules to play the game.

Things are different in the world of sovereigns. Foreign rulers are not as understanding or compassionate as Princess Celestia, nor are they as forgiving. Twilight must find a balance between being an effective ruler, and a strong diplomat. But with new trials arising at every corner, can she manage to maintain herself? What sort of ruler will she become? And will she manage to protect her own little ponies?

Hush now, quiet now, prepare for the path ahead...
