2384351 The way I rate a story is not based on how it is written, but what the plot is. If I like the plot, than I like it. How well it is written can affect if I will like the story, as well, but my likes and dislikes are for the most part about the plot of the story.

There are some stories, liked or disliked, that just leave me with the question of "Why was this written? What made the author think to write this story?". Everyone has there own opinion, but I didn't like it for the plot.

But regardless a story should be marked down by its merit as a literary work (or lack of). Not by the offensive potential it has on a person's "sensibilities."
A writer has the right to write. And the reader has the right to complain. But by no means have any right to judge a book by its cover and demerit it purely from that. (a lil something called prejudice)
