Will read. :moustache:

Oh, this is going to be good!

I had feeling that Mr. Desire had a hard life, but not like this. I'm really feeling for him right now.

I am going to enjoy this.

Have yet to read, already gave a thumbs up!

And this is just the start. Thanks very much for the fave, and again for the suggestion and interest.

I hope it proves to be a good read. Thanks kindly for the fave, too.

Much appreciated, and so is the fave.

Now that I have read the first chapter I must make another account so that I can give another thumbs up!

A good example of be careful what you wish for

No! Now I have to wait until tomorrow to see what comes next...

Oh yes. That is definitely going to be one moral of this story.
Thanks very much for the fave, too.

I can't help but fave your stories, their just too damn good.

Not sure whether to comment here on back on ff, meh.

Like chaosking243 mentioned, the moral of the story is quite clear. And I think thus far it's been well pulled off. Another part I like is how the sex is there, but isn't at the same time, no full on graphic detail. And more demons! I liked the scene where he summoned the demon and it was trying to get him to walk outside the circle, reminded me of The Amulet of Samarkand. I do wonder if any of the demons here will make a later appearance (outside of Rising Fire), I suppose that depends on if any survive by the end.

Something tells me we haven't seen the last of Lucenta. And neither have we seen the end of Morning Glory's antics with Ardent Desire. Speaking of which, I wonder if the name change to 'Burning' will come before or after demonification.

I just realized this is a rare glimpse into the Looking Glass World before everything broke. I wonder if any of the events herein end up leading to the end of pony civilization. I think it had something to do with Changlings... well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Never enter a contract with a devil unless you have ample time to think of every single loop-hole that can be exploited, as well as a solid payment and not something vague like 'until my payment is fulfilled' and even then do it with extreme caution.

Alas, I need to read your two-million word epic sometime soon.

There are a few things that we'll be seeing again. A few concepts I have that I didn't really get a chance to introduce anywhere otherwise, so to speak. And yes, I figured I would stick to my usual writing around all the sex everywhere for now. I'm glad it moves along smoothly.
But thanks kindly, and thanks for the fave, too. Now the story's going to start getting into the real fun, so hopefully it'll prove a good read.

and so ardent desire finally got what he earned.

Oh my, that's quite clever of burning desire. I hope it pans out for him.

Oh...my. That's potentially upsetting. There's always a twist with your stories, and I love that. Congrats on another great story

That was cool ending, now should we all prepare ourselves for the next level?

1921996

Thanks very much. I'm glad it proved enjoyable. But oh yes, there's a few things in here that'll be important in some future events, actually.

When the hurlyburly's done, when the battle's lost and won.
In other words, yes. Eventually. Starting to get on track with [story name goes here], but with luck the wait will be worthwhile.

1922403
really, some of this stuff is going to be important in the future? I would have never guessed that to be the case with that incredibly foreboding ending! In all seriousness, great story, and im definitely looking forward to more.

1922426
I know it will be, it always is.

Well this was interesting as usual, we got to see Burning Desire's Origins, we saw his sister become an emotionless BAMF that has no love for him anymore, and we got to see looking glass world pre-resurrection of everyone!

I was kinda hoping we'd get some insight into Selene's past, but beggars can be choosers. Great job.

1939527

Thanks very much. And I've been thinking on and off about that, actually. I think I'll be getting a little more into Selene in the next story, among other things.

(Meant to do this the day the chapter came out, ugah, life...)

Let's see, I was correct about Morning Glory (who keeps reminding me of Project Horizons) and Lucenta did get another appearance; though not as I expected. I almost didn't catch the hints that would lead to Burning Desire using his blood to get out of the whole mess, but click they did, and just in time.

I really liked your portrayal of the demon world, it was the highlight of the story for me. And then Burning finally getting out of literal Hell to end up in a dead world ("When there's no more room in Hell, Vegeta will walk the- other Hell, what the hell?"), at least he's no longer bound to Cupidus (who I learnt if translated is Greedy.)

And we have a nice set up to future stirring. I wonder just how long Morning Glory/Hollow Star has been waiting by now? I could go back and do the math... though it makes me wonder what else in here will appear in the next.

Overall I definitely enjoyed this foray into the past. I noticed that the story was published fairly after it was written, I'm guessing your editing was slowed down by the holidays? Looking forward to your next work!

Thanks very much. I'm glad to hear it was enjoyable... particularly the Hell bit, that is a relief. I toyed a lot with how to present that. But yeah. Burning Desire's story is a tragedy: he lives and learns, but at the same time, he still tends to miss the fine print.
But oh yes. There's a lot in [untitled] so far and I have this lingering concern I'm going to be weaving way too much together for my own good. But maybe this'll be it. Oh, maybe this'll be it. Maybe. And well, sort of. It actually took so long because it took me forever to get started on... oh how I wish I had a working title... before I went and put all this up. I told myself I wouldn't post Rising Fire until I did one editing sweep of it and got at least a start on the new story, and that didn't happen for a while.

Took me far too long for me to get round to reading another brilliant story by BlackRoseRaven and I would actually like to apologize for waiting so long.

No need to apologize, I'm just glad to hear it proved to be an enjoyable read. Thanks very much.

this seems like a Garterbelt-style origin story type thing
