Who are to blame when the one's we love gets pulled from life too early?

The one who decided the actions? Or the one who forced them?

When the time comes, should one mourn their passing? Or should one smile because of the time spent together?

A/N: A big cheer to http://blackswhites.deviantart.com/ for allowing me to use the drawing, and Slashawar for helping out with edits.

I never really think much about Twilight's relationship with Shining Armor. If only all siblings could experience what they did growing up.

But you didn’t…

He knew... He knew.

Having a sibling is a most wonderful thing.

It's so sad to lose someone you hold so dear, especially when it comes so suddenly or without warning. :fluttercry:

R.I.P Shining Armor, A model captain and loyal big brother until the end. :pinkiesad2:

1626536 Now... you made the author sad with your video... :fluttercry:

Glad you folks enjoyed it.

Cheers!

1626626 The first memories are her fondest, of the time she spent with her brother. And also the memories of which he always supported her, no matter how she thought he would react. There are sure to be many other nice memories, but these are most significant to Twilight.

Cheers all you wonderful people.

1626646 I'm starting to look forward the comments you place on my stories Barata. :rainbowlaugh:

1626867 It's what I do:twilightsmile:

That death was pretty unpredictable. I would start to ask where Cadence was, but that would simply ruin the mourning scene.

Another excellent story that delves into the mind of Twilight. I never really put much thought of their childhood relationship, but I feel that you pretty much nailed the emotions for it!

Good job! There is a sudden inflow of sad-fics today that I MUST read!

1629005 Thank you Kishin, glad you liked it.

Even though I didn't actually cry this story seriously moved me and for the most part it was kinda hard to read (in a good way), because... I have a little sister :applecry:
OK we are actually more like Rarity and Sweetie Belle (but we argue and fight WAAAY much more), but I kinda used to be like Shining Armor when I was younger and my sis was just a toddler, the we both grew up and became much meaner and more aggressive towards each other, I started to find my sister way more annoying and... alright now I'm crying :fluttercry:

Emotions aside this is a nice short story, sometimes I can feel it was written quickly (there are a few typos and maybe the ending and the aftermath of the tragic events could be expanded a little) but I still enjoyed it overall.

1632262 Oh and I forgot to say that what I liked the most is the structure you gave to the story, the sentences in italics made a very good buildup.

1632341 glad you liked it, I think it might feel a bit rushed at some places because I mixed two styles here. One minimalistic to focus on the bond between brother and sister. And detailed to set the mood and such at the ending.

I really love your stories, when I read them I am certain that you wrote them by your heart, this is most important, because this makes your stories so beautiful.
