The haters are just fans traveling backwards through time.
But anyway, my guess is that the negative reviews are split between 'moral' downvotes, and lack of characterization/context.
This just being an intro, I wouldn't take that too seriously. Write the stories you'd be interested in reading.

For starters great opening hook. Second to be honest i would like Tristan to end up choosing to stay as Trixie one of two ways. Either he feels better and happy as Trixie and would feel like he was always meant to be a she, that it feels right to him/her on a primal and instinctual level, or during his "Quest" he/she actually get pregnant from one of the Male 6 or all (i'm not picky, lol) thus forcing him to stay as Trixie because as of the insemination his/her body adapts and physically became female and "she" just accepts she's 100% female and just gives in. Thirdy will you be using the male names the fans gave the genderbent main six (i.e. Dusk Shine, Bubble Berry, Elusive, Rainbow Blitz, Butterscotch, Applejack) yeah the male one was also named Applejack, or will you create new male name for the genderbent Mane Six?
