This takes place after Season 8 Episode 20- Road To Friendship

After a rather disastrous road trip to Saddle Arabia, Starlight and Trixie are glad to make it back to Ponyville. However, Starlight wasn't too happy with their improvised friendship chant and drags Trixie along to learn how to do a proper one. Luckily, there are two ponies who are willing to give them a helping hoof.

“Known each other for a good length of time, check,” Twilight ticked it off her list, “Now onto rule number two, the theme. It must be something you two, as friends, must have something in common. Me and Cadance chose the theme of things we like to do when she would come over to foal-sit me. Knowing my fear of ladybirds from what Shining told her, she would sneak one into my closet when I go and comb my mane. That’s why we use the phrase, ‘ladybugs awake’.”

I guess that's a good way why she so scared of ladybugs which I don't blame her I'm scared of ladybugs or pretty much any bugs

Lol I guess after that event from their trip when they try to get Trixie's wagon starlight really want to learn how to do the chant probably and of course they had to ask twilight and cadence since they know how to do these things of course they regret doing this but other than that they actually did a pretty good job with the chance even though they felt totally embarrassed about it but hey this was a fun story keep up the good work
