Roller skating is definitely harder than it looks and you captured that well here. Also, it's a good thing Sunny remembered to grab helmets for everypony. Safety first after all

That was cute. A fun time between friends and the characters were all spot on. I think I could see a rollerskating episode in the G5 series.

A few errors though:

Zipp and Pipp both used their wings to balance themselves so to not all over.

I think you meant 'fall over'.

“So them, every pony”

'so then'

Balance was never a speciality of mine :applejackconfused:

“Oh dear,” Sunny gasped, “What have you hurt?”

“My pride…”

I laughed to hard at that

Happy to make you smile :rainbowlaugh:

“Baby steps, Hitch. Baby steps,” Sunny reassured her friend with a pat on the back.

Aww that kind of reminds me of Fluttershy when she says that

Well I can actually relate it to Hitch because I don't know how to skate either and that was occasionally I always fall or hit the wall or whatever because I don't know how to break anyway it was really nice to see Sunny to show her friends around town not only that trying out her skates with her friends it looks like everybody starting to get the hang of it well except for hitch when he went down a hill aside from that it looks like everybody was having fun and it's always nice to hang out like that this was a pretty good story keep up the good work

“My pride…” Hitch grumbled from underneath the greenery.

:rainbowlaugh:

This was a fun read. I'll give it a thumbs up and a favorite.

I used to be able to skate, but I found less and less time for it and eventually forgot...

11175041 Same here, minus the hitting the wall part. I roller skated a little at skating rinks, but I never got into it. I always preferred biking.

This was cute and fun. I enjoyed it nicely :yay:

Thank you for the compliment and happy you liked it :pinkiehappy:

Thanks immensely for sharing this one-shot with us. Definitely liked the work that went into the dialogue and characterizations. I admit that I could never bring myself to try roller skating, but I have a lot of respect for those that do. And, yeah, I could see how most of them could get the hang of skating so quickly (and the only one that didn't is still willing to try again).

I could certainly see this being an actual episode of the future show.

So wholesome. Love it. Great job and congrats on the Feature!

Thank you so very much ^^ Happy you liked it

Very nice story. To be honest, it almost feels canon. :raritywink:

 That's my aim with most of my stories. Nothing to complicated, but close to what I think the characters are like

“Baby steps, Hitch. Baby steps,” Sunny reassured her friend with a pat on the back.

:yay: Flutters like, :3

“Is the sheriff worried about his dignity and public image as a noble and brave pony of Maretime Bay?” Came the teasing question from Zipp. She was strapping on her own four skates, her helmet and leg pads already in position.

Sounds like it's to me Zipp. :ajsmug:

“N-no,” Hitch gulped and puffed his chest out in an attempt to be brave, “I'm just worried about the wheels against... the cobbled stone! Just the wheels on the cobbled stone. That’s all.”

Uh huh... :ajbemused:

“Don’t worry! I bet this will be tons of fun!” Izzy, being herself, was already circling the four ponies. She strapped herself in and had made it look easy as if she had been skating ever since her foal hood. Izzy was a pony full of surprises.

She's likely pinkie pie's long lost sister or cousin she never thought she had.

“Wait, where’s Hitch?” Sunny asked. Zipp and her sister turned around to find that their friend was missing. It was a loud stallion’s scream from on top of the hill that alerted the four mares that some pony was coming towards them. They looked up and their eyes widened at the sight coming towards them.

And he said he wasn't gonna scream, good going hitch. :facehoof:

Zipp and Pipp spread their wings and quickly took to the air while Izzy and Sunny took a step back, just in time as Hitch zoomed past them. He only managed to stop when his front hoof caught the other, causing him to fall forward. A bush broke his fall and prevented him from hitting the cobbled stone with full force. The four of them raced to see if their friend was okay.

At least he stopped, even if it wasn't pretty. :fluttershyouch:

“Pipp, I don’t think that’s a good-“ Zipp warned but it was too late. Pipp was unaware that a streetlamp was in front of her and her muzzle came into contact with a smack. She fell forward, rubbing her muzzle.

And that is why you should never do that, I did something similar like that and ended up fracturing my left arm in the process.

This was a nice short story. I'm not surprised that Izzy is good at rollerskating from the start.

This was a cute, light-hearted story, but poor Hitch's pride:rainbowlaugh:

So funny and sweet!

one of the sentences had ""now, this is now a unicorn skates." one of those nows should be how, but this was pretty good

Haha, poor Hitch. Not surprised Izzy's a natural, she picks up everything almost instantly. Didn't think wings could aid like that.

“And I think a hooves-on experience is a perfect way for all of you to find your rhythm,” Sunny smiled slyly. The group looked at each other with nervous faces, except for Izzy, who was smiling with excitement.

As someone who recently started learning to skateboard, I can agree, Sunny. Kept worrying about losing my balance when trying to put my back foot on the board, and I eventually realized I just had to go for it.
