Hmm...a curious little story. With a somewhat abrupt ending made odder by the two chapters before it basically being a seperate mini-fic.
Really, if the site allowed it, I'd swap that Mystery tag for Adventure, because the early chapters, at least, are good demonstrations that Slice of Life and Adventure do have a border.

Thank you for your comments - I hadn't considered this to be an adventure as there is no swashbuckling and no dragons to be slain, but I guess you're right; AJ finds herself well out of her comfort zone and so to her, this has been a big adventure. I am adding an "adventure" tag as suggested.
I have also put a header onto chapters 8 and 10 just to highlight when they occur and reduce the disruption to the flow.
