FoolAmongTheStars

Sorry for being a Starlight Glimmer apologist

T
Source

Life moves on and Starlight tries her best to do the same, not because she wants to, but because she has to, for the sake of her daughter and all those around her.

She slips every once in a while though and the one night she allows herself to feel weakness, it happens to be in front of Sunburst, her ex-husband, and the man who still owns her heart.

Now that fate has put him in her path once again, it's time to decide if she really wants to move on or not.

This story is ten chapters long and a new chapter will be posted every day.

Warnings: Out of character, cheesiness, the typical drama that comes with divorce, and probably the most egregious, Luster Dawn is their biological daughter in this one.

Yes! There’s one positive to this quarantine! (Without AC:NH)

Sunburst, her ex-husband and the man who still owned her heart.

Why'd she break up with him, then?

Aw! Thanks a bunch!

You got to read to find out. :raritywink:

Not gonna lie, I put her through an emotional rollercoaster in this story. :fluttershysad:

Yeah. As long as it works out in the end, I'm fine.

Aww, that's sweet. But I hope Starlight didn't roll her ankle. I have. Twice. It's not fun and can leave you unable to walk properly for three days.

Awww. Poor Starlight. Good chapter though.

She should talk to Luna about this. And tell the truth this time. And think about maybe Sunburst wants this too!

Plot twist: Sunset was recording her whole conversation with Starlight and shows it to Sunburst during Dawn's party.

Or maybe not. Just thought that would be funny.

Dang cliffhangers! I don't hate you for it because I've done it myself, but still.

Noo! No she's not! She's not horrible I change my mind all the time! Yes, it's horribly embarrassing at times! But it's worth it!

I'm glad you like it! And thank you for your support, your comments always made me smile!

Oh, no problem. I like being supportive, especially if the stories are good.

I wish this had more attention.

As long as the people who read this actually appreciate it then I'm satisfied  it's not about the number of comments but the quality of them that make my day

And that’s always a good outlook to have, but it’s still a shame when stories like this that are underrated gems don’t get enough reader TLC.

Please don’t feel discouraged though, I really like your stories.

I read this weeks ago when I got in the mood to read a good starburst fic, and I found this. I absolutely adored it! The writing was so well done, and I liked how they gradually fell back in love. It all flowed very nicely and I hope more people find this wonderful fic. (It also made a lot of sense why they broke up in the first place - a lot of times I was like “That is sooo Starlight” you captured her character well.:yay:)

Thank you so much! I thought Starlight was out of character at first but I'm glad you enjoyed my interpretation! And thanks for the watch too!

I really like that last part there. It’s so well written, that the words don’t have to be spoken to know what Starlight was going to say. Also, feels.:fluttershysad:

i've been binging on all your content since i recently got re-obsessed on starburst, and all your stories are amazing but this one absolutely takes the cake.
i don't think you intended for the reader to cry for 95% of the fic, but that's what i did (i have two soaked tissues to prove it)

all of your stuff is so well written and i thank you so much for it

Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much :rainbowkiss:!! For the comment and the faves and the watch!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed this, I didn't mean to make you cry though, never thought I had the talent to do that. StarBurst is the shipping that owns my heart right now, so expect more content in the future. :pinkiehappy:

This is a great story! Keep it up!

Starlight! You’re not horrible! We all change our minds at times! That doesn’t make you bad!

She was too busy typing her response when she left the faculty room to notice anything else, and on the way to the lobby she looked up just in time to catch a glimpse of red hair coming out of the men's room. Starlight's eyes widened and she froze on the spot, but she recovered almost immediately. She hoped he hadn’t noticed her—even though it would be impossible not to since she was standing in the middle of the empty hallway—but Murphy's Law decided to kick at the moment she tried to hide. She tripped on the loose rubbered edge of one of the steps leading to the lobby as she hurried, sending her to the floor with a loud thump and a yelp. She heard footfalls approaching, and hoped that is was the guard standing in front of her.
