Im just getting around to reading this. I like it, its well written and i look forward to more. Allow me to make a suggestion. In my story Cadance is the Gamemaster of my character, maybe thats another reason the brothers can cite for not being able to help with the spell. Whether you choose to use that or not, Keep the story going, I really want to see more.

With the way things are going him metamorphosing (While most parasprites either degenerated and forgotten or never done before) into a Manasprite and then into a Gigasprite (I am seeing a major but long drawn out evolutionary plot set before consequently being named Lord/King of Swarms [Thought came from old Pokemon and Starcraft concepts]). He needs to become larger and develops/evolve into something much more substantial (Have him devour a unique magical item or 2 [Could have an affect on those in his Swarm in a way]). Random ideas thrown at ya and will continue reading.

1201798 I forgot about them. Besides Manasprites and Gigasprites ironically were used in other fics on this site though categorized as subspecies and Evolved-species and such. Manasprites fed on more on magic then regular food per say and Gigasprites fed on metals and precious gems. The form varies but retains the eyes and number of legs.

Giga-sprites would have hard shells and Mana-sprites would have the Haduken, or magic use in general, preferably the Latin gig going on all over the place.

Manasprites feed on the magic itself (Spells are absorbed and certain abilities on ponies/magic specific creatures are cancelled out with them near). Characters that have their magic fed off of can still be full of energy just unable to use any form of magic. Though creatures made purely of magic are screwed like elementals and such.

Giga-Sprites as I said are the larger of the 3 sprites. They feed on metal and gems though the process of multiplying may be the most difficult of the 3. They are considered somewhat like flying armored tanks. They can spew the metal and certain gems out like projectiles (If the gems are magical may change the projectile somewhat [Envision something like kirby when I think of these Sprites somewhat]).
Yes. Anyway... Wait hold on kirby? What da hell? Well anyway, I've always wondered if a parasprite could do magic outside the universe I created. It appears so.

Okay, ignoring the blasphemy the "Jesus" parasprite has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in the Chessverse
Also, the whole "mind map" thing is incredibly clever and original, good work!
The emotionally charged bits were very well done, nice to see a character who actually misses their old life on Earth and isn't just an angsty teenager (Griffin, Ember, you know who you are).
I like Agape, seems kind of like the Gandolf of the Chessverse.
Again, the whole "mind map" thing is incredibly well done, actually kind of reminds me of Fable 3 with the 3D map table that lets you zoom in on individual areas and buildings with the spyglass and learn more about them.
After Jesus said 'I'd hit that.' I just couldn't stop laughing, well done, great story.
