Thank you so much for your comment! Nurturing Love was actually based on another OC I have. I'm not quite sure what that makes her. This one is a bit closer to me because I've been planning it for a long time. I hope you enjoy this next chapter!
I can see where Pinkie would find an interest in this based on her observations of The Cake twins. What could be more Pinkie than Pinkie totally care free at all levels? It's like Power Pinkie Pie knowing that nothing can keep her from feeling and being her childish lovable self.
Pinkie has had some moments in the show, too, where she's shown she is certainly capable of being an AF. Her antics in "Baby Cakes" along with "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows" certainly show she can do foal quite easily.
I like the idea of the 'Starter Box'. I think a lot of AF / DL types could benefit from such a thing. Hmm. Is this perhaps the 'Crinkle Crate' I've heard of?
Very interesting. This could kind of lead into how Pinkie Pie became a part of The cake family long before Pound and Pumpkin came around. Maybe Mrs. Cake had always wanted to some pony to care for but never thought her and Carrot ever had time for foals? So allowing Pinkie to live and work with them could've been a way for the maternal instinct to be satiated until Pound and Pumpkin were born.
It gives more thought on how, maybe, it was believed The Cakes couldn't have foals. This would further make having Pinkie living and being around them like family. Pinkie's naturally childish nature helping to satiate Cup Cake's desire to have a foal when, initially, she may have been told she couldn't with Carrot?
Interesting story so far, cant wait to see what happens next, keep it up.

Given that Pinkie's bedroom is high above the upstairs hallway, I don't think her opening up a package of diapers would make enough noise to wake up the Cakes.

I'm disappointed that there's never been an episode exploring this relationship, especially since Faust said that the Cakes love Pinkie like a duaghter and see her as their daughter.

9283447 The writers have had multiple opportunities to do this, such as in episodes like "Party of One", "Baby Cakes", "MMMystery on the Friendship Express", "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows", "Yakkity-Sax", among others. Why they haven't is a complete mystery to me. We've seen bits of it in episodes like "Swarm of the Century" and the episodes listed above.
What an interesting little twist. The story could've ended here with a very happy and content Pinkie to be just another of the foals the Cakes care for. However you've opened the door for further adventure by getting Dashie interested in 'the locked door'.
Curiosity can certainly be quite the driver to do something. Just as long as we don't get all 'Cupcakes' behind that door I'm all for it. (Made the mistake of seeing something on YouTube regarding that story and it scared me for days)
