September 1st 1939. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party has just invaded Poland. The nations hoped that something like this wouldn't happen again. But now they didn't have a choice. The world was going to war once more. Oswald Burke Grey wasn't surprised when President Franklin D Roosevelt declared America's isolation from the war, but when he received a package from his British Cousin his life would change drastically. What he thought was a ordinary chest, would turn out to be a seal that kept an ancient being with terrifying abilities trapped inside and now it was free. However Oswald soon learns that the being would only use it's abilities under his command. However as the war continued to drag on, a terrifying news of the being's evil self was now under Axis control. Seeing the dangers that the being could unleash, Oswald agrees and enlists in the army without hesitation to protect not just his world, but the other worlds from the Axis powers and their restless war machine.

Oswald should not tamper with time because if he tells this to the americans and they prepare for attack, japan would not attack because they had spies marking targets and foto graphing ships and they would know if america would be waiting for them and would attack some where else. Because amarica needed a reason to join the war, during that time americans mind set was to let europeans deal with the war themselves.

Also I'll be writing this story in a way to mix fiction and historical fiction so some things may be made up while other parts are referring to the actual events of WW2. Well, technically it's not messing with time because from his perspective, it hasn't happened yet.

yes it is because he is not from that time. Of course he could tell them about the attack, then they would go full alert mode and fortify island. That would lead japan not attacking because they are not that idiotic about attacking island switch is ready for attack. That would lead america to not have a reason to join the war switch would lead soviet union taking over germany and maybe france. Japan would still have control over pasific and its islands because they had years of supply of oil. In the end american allies are either weakened or gone meaning that trading will be difficult switch means america is economically screwed switch does not help after they had recently great depression.
If he wants all that to happen then sure, screw his own country over by allowing soviet union becoming great power without any form of powerful competition.
