Prologue: Plestious

The birds outside chirped as the morning light poured in through Oswald's window. If only it was peaceful like the mornings, but that was only wishful thinking. With the whole Great Depression thing going on, it felt as if nothing was going to get better. Not only that but, news stated that the Nazi Party had invaded Poland three days ago. Luckily for him, President Franklin D Roosevelt declared America to be once again neutral for the war. Oswald yawned as the familiar voice of Petey called out.

"Mail for Oswald Burke Grey!" Oswald opened his window and poked his head out.

"I'm coming Petey just stay there!" Oswald called out.

"Well good morning Oswald!" Petey called up to him.

"Yes, yes good morning!" groaned Oswald. He jumped out of bed and began down the stairs scratching his head as he walked towards the door. He opened the door as Petey greeted him with a smile.

"How you doin' Oswald?" asked Petey.

"Geez, could seriously be this happy when this world is already going bad?" asked Oswald.

"Oh come on don't be like that!" said Petey grinning.

"Whatever, anyway what you got for me?" asked Oswald.

"Oh you'll love this, it's from your cousin," said Petey pulling out a small package.

"From, Brent?" asked Oswald.

"Yep," said Petey handing Oswald the package. "Anyway have a good day" said Petey walking off. Oswald sighed as he closed the door behind him.

"Geez what did he send me now?" Oswald groaned. He opened the package and pulled out a rusty brown chest with a lock attached to it. "Really Brent a chest?" He looked into the package a pulled out a small brown key that came along with the chest. "Well might as well see what's inside," Oswald inserted the key and tore off the lock. He slowly opened the chest to see that nothing was inside. "Great Brent yeah thanks for wasting my time with this stupid prank," Oswald tossed the chest onto the table and was about to head upstairs when a voice called out his name.

"Hey Oswald!"

Oswald stopped in his tracks and looked around the house but didn't notice anybody.

"Who the hell was that?" Oswald asked. Shaking it off he proceeded to continue upstairs when something began to glow behind him. He turned around as a bright light began shining from inside the chest. Oswald slowly walked over to the chest as a pillar of bright light erupted from the chest. Oswald quickly shielded his eyes as he fell back. Once the light died down, Oswald looked around to see nothing had changed. "The hell was that?" Just then, the chest slightly moved on it's own grabbing his attention. Oswald slowly got up and walked up to the chest as two small white paws reached out. Oswald took a step back as a small white creature emerged from the chest. The creature looked like a bunny but had small wings on it's back like a dragon. It had a long slender tail with a small diamond at the tip. It had a dog like snout and it's entire body was covered in white fur. It had white fox ears and small yellow rings were wrapped around it's wrists. A small turquoise diamond was wrapped around it's neck as a necklace or pendant. The creature yawned as it looked up at Oswald with small yellow eyes. The two stared at each other before Oswald yelped and fell back. The creature curiously hovered over to him. "Whoa stay back.....you...you bunny!" Oswald yelped.

"Hey I'm not a bunny," said the creature offended.

"What the....you can talk!?" Oswald yelped.

"Well duh, who do you think called out your name?" asked the creature. Oswald stopped short and shook his thoughts out.

"No way, this isn't possible, I don't exactly know what you are but, I can't risk having pets in here," said Oswald.

"Hey don't treat me like an animal, Brent sent me here for a reason," said the creature crossing it's arms.

"Look, I don't care, I didn't ask him to send me strange fluffy white creatures ok?" asked Oswald.

"Geez why you gotta be sour, I'm an important guest so you should at least treat me with respect," said the creature.

"Important in what way?" asked Oswald. The creature looked at him with a smirk.

"You don't know do you?" asked the creature.

"Know what?" asked Oswald.

"Oh you didn't read the letter?" asked the creature.

"Letter?" asked Oswald. He quickly grabbed the package and found a small envelope taped at the bottom of the package. He pulled out the letter and tore open the envelope. He quickly pulled out the letter and began to read.

Dear Cousin Oswald,
So I don't really know how to word this but, if this package manages to reach you, then that's good news for us. As you know there is a war against Germany going on in Europe. I didn't originally plan this, but my squad of soldiers and I were assigned to infiltrate the Nazi party's command center located in the capital of Poland. We managed to sneak in without getting caught but sneaking out was going to be another problem. But that's not important. What IS important is that we found this chest along with a second chest located in one of the German Officer's quarters. We decided to sneak out both chests but we only managed to escape with one before the second was retrieved by a German Guard. We didn't know what was contained in this, so we tried asking people in the nearby villages. We soon found out that this contained one half of an ancient being that was locked in here because of it's terrifying abilities. This being had the ability to open gates and portals that lead to another world or worlds, but only the good half of the being is locked away in here. However that means a bad half exists, and that half is currently in the hands of Germany. We hoped that if we sent this to you, you would be able to keep it safe for the time being, however we DO know that it won't use it's abilities unless you command it. It's name is Plestious. Please whatever you do, do not let Plestious fall into the hands of our enemies, we're counting on you.

Sincerely, Your British Cousin, Brent Burke Grey

Oswald slowly looks up at the creature who was flying in front of him with a smile. "So now you know," said the creature. He slowly looked back at the letter and folded it up again. "Oh come on, it's not that hard of a job," said the creature.

"It's not that," said Oswald.

"What is it then?" asked the creature.

"Plestious right?" asked Oswald.

"Yep," answered the creature happily.

"Is it true, that you have a bad side?" asked Oswald.

"Don't all living things do?" asked Plestious.

"Yeah, but that's not what I meant," answered Oswald.

"Then what DID you mean?" asked Plestious.

"That there is another part of you who has the same ability but with evil intentions?" asked Oswald.

"Yeah," answered Plestious.

"So that means, whoever summons that part of you, they will only use their ability to whoever summons them?" asked Oswald.

"Yeah," answered Plestious. "Why?"

"Oh shit, if that's the case, then this world could be in danger," said Oswald.

"Why?" Plestious asked tilting their head.

"Come on, we need to go," said Oswald.

"Wait where?" asked Plestious.

"To talk to the President," answered Oswald.

"Wait, but you're supposed to keep my identity a secret," said Plestious.

"Yeah but if we don't warn him of your other half then......." Oswald stopped himself. What would happen? Of course explaining to Roosevelt about Plestious would mean he's ignoring his cousin's request, but that would also mean putting the lives of many in danger. But he remembered that Roosevelt didn't want America to get involved in the war. But then how will the other nations deal with the Axis Powers? It was either saving the lives of the innocent or respecting his cousin's request and the beliefs of America. Oswald dropped his jacket as Plestious flew up to him.

"Come on Oswald, I think we should think about this later, right now let's get you some breakfast," said Plestious.

"Ok," said Oswald. He followed Plestious into the kitchen, but he couldn't get the thought out of his head. It was one way or another, and neither sounded good.
