Chapter 2: The Setup

November 21, 1941

2 years has past since Oswald has sent his warning to President Roosevelt and now, after so long the president has finally responded. Now as he walked through the halls of the white house, the war in Europe continued to rage on.

"I can't believe I agreed to take you with me," Oswald hissed at Twilight, Sunset, and Starlight.

"Hey it's the Princess's orders," argued Twilight.

"I guess but please don't do or say anything stupid let me handle the talking," said Oswald.

"Our mouths are shut," said Starlight.

"Mr Grey, the President is ready for you," said one of the bodyguards.

"Alright let's do this," said Oswald. The two bodyguards opened the door and let the five in.

"Mr. Grey I presume?" asked a man in a suit.

"President Roosevelt it's an honor to meet you," said Oswald shaking his hands.

"Same here Mr. Grey," said Roosevelt with a smile. "Now I got your letter about the attack, and I assume you would like to hear my thoughts on it," said Roosevelt.

"Yes sir," answered Oswald.

"I'm afraid I cannot fulfill your request Mr. Grey," answered Roosevelt.

"What but why?" asked Oswald.

"Well in all honesty, we can't just assume that the Japanese would come to us," answered Roosevelt. "I understand you're worried about our nation, but think of it like this, if the Japanese found out that we were going to plan a counter attack then they surely wouldn't think of attacking us out of the blue,"

"Yeah but....." Oswald stuttered.

"Look it's a risky choice but I promised America that we wouldn't get involved in another war, even if the Japanese did bomb Pearl Harbor in 16 days from now, we would've already known that the attack was coming," answered Roosevelt. "Which means that the military base would've been prepared to fight back against the Japanese, I can't possibly risk sending American troops to Pearl Harbor if they were ready for battle," added Roosevelt.

"But....but," Oswald couldn't find ways to counter his argument. He was right, this was not a risk he would take, even if the warning reached the military base, there was a chance that spies would retrieve the information and cancel the attack, if Pearl Harbor prepared for battle only to find out it was a false alarm things wouldn't go the way it would, America would just get attacked by the Japanese as retaliation. If that happened Roosevelt would have no choice but to drag the country into war breaking his promise. The blame would go onto Oswald if the allies lost this war. He can't be jumping to conclusions.

"I hope you can understand," said Roosevelt.

"Yes sir," said Oswald sounding disappointed.

"Look son, I'm sure we'll find a way to win this war, without getting dragged into it ourselves," said Roosevelt.

November 24 1941

Japanese soldier, Yamamoto Hideki, walked down the stairs and opened the door leading to the officer's main quarters. He saluted General Hideki Tojo as he stepped up to the table.

"Sir the military base has received the news of our attack by the American's and are preparing for battle, shall we cancel the attack?" Tojo scratched his chin as he looked down at the map of Hawaii. After all these years of planning, they got nothing out of it. How did the American's know? "Sir?" asked Yamamoto.

"Forget it I will not be outdone by those Americans!" announced Tojo. "We must come up with a new plan,"

"Maybe I can help," a voice spoke up. Tojo looked behind him in the dark corner of the room. A shadowy figure of Plestious flew out and smirked.

"We cannot let the world know you exist just yet Shadow Plestious," said Tojo.

"Oh come on, you know that Hitler wants you to do as much as you can while your in this war," said Shadow Plestious.

"Hmph, I take orders from Emperor Hirohito not a mischievous little brat," hissed Tojo.

"Geez such a sour puss," snickered Shadow Plestious. "Well what if I told you there is another world you can attack instead,"

"What?" asked Tojo.

"It's easy all you have to do is send a false lead to Pearl Harbor and then send in the real deal to this other world," said Shadow Plestious.

"That could work but do we really want to risk it?" asked Tojo.

"Hey nobody said YOU had to send in troops to this other world," said Shadow Plestious.

"What do you have in mind?" asked Tojo. Shadow Plestious smirked wickedly as he summoned a portal.

Author's Note:

is this battlefield v?

yes it is because he is not from that time. Of course he could tell them about the attack, then they would go full alert mode and fortify island. That would lead japan not attacking because they are not that idiotic about attacking island switch is ready for attack. That would lead america to not have a reason to join the war switch would lead soviet union taking over germany and maybe france. Japan would still have control over pasific and its islands because they had years of supply of oil. In the end american allies are either weakened or gone meaning that trading will be difficult switch means america is economically screwed switch does not help after they had recently great depression.
If he wants all that to happen then sure, screw his own country over by allowing soviet union becoming great power without any form of powerful competition.
