Fantastic work with this one-shot. I really enjoyed the 50s references in it - and as soon as Pinkie mentioned the monster movie they could see had Steve McQueen in it, I knew what the punchline was going to be

The Blob was actually McQueen's first leading role, so unless Sunset got a thing for him in one of his obscure acting jobs such as Never Love a Stranger which came out just a few months before, she likely wouldn't know who that even was.

To be honest, that first part was more of a reference to Back To The Future on my part.
And I picked him because he was the guy I remembered most in acting-wise in the 50s.

This was a fun slice of life story to read
Such a great story. "BttF" references were a nice touch; it's my favorite sci-fi film series (number one most of all.) You should make a whole chaptered story about this universe. Maybe with Twilight coming to CHS and how the girls and their peers react to changes in this year (like with the Red Scare, the Space Race, Elvis Presley, etc.) and others. I really think it would be an awesomely cool story idea.
