This story is a sequel to A Figment of Her Imagination

Six months ago, Princess Twilight Sparkle found a way to create Daring Do out of the pages of one of A.K. Yearling's books. Yearling herself wasn't too pleased, but the situation seems to have resolved itself, so she paid it no more mind.

Now a distraught Fluttershy has come calling, and Yearling soon realizes that her doppelganger left a lot of pain in her wake. She's still not used to this whole friendship thing, but she can't just ignore a mare in need, can she?

Written on a whim and with no outside help whatsoever. It might pay to read the original story before jumping into this one.

Takes place shortly after the events of Daring Don't.

I remember the original being a great read and having nice existentialism bits.

Holy damn, forgot about that one. Should be interesting...

This one is less about the existentialism and more about picking up the pieces. I should also note it takes place before that final scene in the original. I tried to make that clear via the timing, but I fully expect readers to miss it anyway.

Tears and giggles. A perfect follow-up and resolution. A.K. Yearling is such a joy to read. I am suuuuuuch a huge fan. :raritywink:

I loved the first story - as heart-wrenching as it was - and can't wait to read this one.

And I can't wait to see if you like it half as much as the original.

*Finishes this one too.

Well, that was certainly a time jump. Twas interesting to see how Daring, well, A.K. Yearling I suppose, helped Flutters and RD in such different ways and... yah. Was also really great.

Which leads me to the question: is it obvious that this happens before the last chapter of Figments? I tried to make it so, but...

Yes, it was obvious. At least, it was to me. Also, you did include rough time frames (the last chapter of Figments is a year after ded, this is, what, 6 months? Pretty sure you had 6 months in the Flutters chapter...)

8773734
Yes, I did include those numbers. I've just seen so many instances where the evidence is laid in front of people like that, plain to see, and somehow they still miss it. It happens more often than I feel makes sense.

Another awesome story.
