I like how both of them are dense, but not that dense. And how RD just makes things awesome, so they fit her wishes and lifestyle. To many stories revolve around her panicking because she's getting into mushy stuff. Here? It ain't cute, it's 'awesome cute'. It ain't snuggeling, it's 'intertwined awesomness'. Great detail!
The progression of AJs 'confession' felt natural. And I like how she seems to be so... vulnerable.

I think one of the many, many things I like about Appledash is they're both tough but they also seem to share a desire for vulnerability. It can be a part their shared personal growth and also a gentle, private comfort they can share with each other as equal partners and friends.

Your story hits on everything I look for in a good shipfic. The details presented all supported each other; nothing really felt superfluous. Your characterizations of AJ and Dash were brilliant - Dash's especially was quite refreshing. Any criticisms I have are minor and debatable.

Superb slice of AppleDash. I love how it all happens so organically. Nothing is more important to AJ than family, so it makes sense the tipping point would come as Dash slips effortlessly into a familial role.

This is such an adorable story, I didn't want it to end. I almost wish it was longer, so I could linger in the feelings, but I think you made it the perfect length for what it needed to be.
I loved how vulnerable you made AJ here, it manages to feel extremely authentic to her characterization while also not being a side of her we usually get to see. It makes it very fresh and gratifying to follow the emotional cookie trail to the end. And the resolution does a wonderful job of making me imagine the bright and pleasant future these two have to look forward to together, which is exactly what I want a good shipfic to do.
