Twilight finds a strange object far above Equestria. With the other princesses she created a vessel to traverse the luminiferous aether and investigate it. Twinkleshine, Moondancer, and Minuette are eager to prove themselves, and find a place aboard the ship to steer it to its destination. When they board the vessel, they find things are not safe, nor are they familiar.

Ooh boy. Looks like this one has the possibility for a sequel. I loved it!

Nice. Would be awesome for a sequel but I'm a little confused on what happened. It starts off all DEAD SPACE like then it sounds like a ghost is controlling a human skeleton. What I don't understand is what is the ghost and what happened to minuette? Because it almost sounds less like a ghost and more like cosmic energy that has a life of its own.

I mention that the ghost-thing was attempting to propel his shitty spaceship by burning bodies and other things. He attempted to burn Minuette as fuel in his little ship, and he succeeded. Now Minuette is also a horrible ghost-thing.

I should have been a bit more clear in what I was trying to say. In my fit of excitement I was trying to make a dead space reference but it came out more as like a question.:twilightblush: my bad

Ah, I get it. Glad you liked it no matter what.

Interesting start. Getting some Alien vibes. Bit of Dead Space too.

This "creature" seems to at least have the body of a human cosmonaut. Whatever inhabits the body is definitely not human though.

That's not Moondancer...

Good solid beginning. Interesting concept, good selection of ponies to bring along that aren't the usual ones you'd expect, with an interesting find. Makes me all too eager to see how things will play out from here. :pinkiehappy:

I do appreciate how they don’t understand what airlocks are. When you can make an aura of breathable air around yourself, why would you even bother making sure everything is actually air-tight?

I’m more thinking that Moondancer is dead and possessed or something.

I assume you mean Moondancer is who was burned up? Either way, it’s Lovecraftian horror enough that explanations would actually detract from the horror. So not knowing exactly what it is or why it’s doing what it’s doing, or other specifics adds to the terror.

Love the story, reading it again for like the fourth time. I did notice an error however.

Moondancer floated the book over to her own lap and opened it up to read the past communications, while Moondancer stood up and stretched.

I believe you meant to write "Twinkleshine".

The glossy surface of the helmet, because that’s what it must have been, had been shattered, leaving only jagged pieces behind. Inside it was the remains of some creature that had long since died. A strange skull sat nestled inside the helmet, with wires attached to its bones and stray hair that must have been sitting in there undisturbed for who-knows how long. The constant hissing noise was coming from the creature’s jaw, which was slack, but illuminated by the unholy light emanating from the skull’s empty eyes. The same sickly-green glow the wisp gave off.

Oh shit, that’s a lost cosmonaut.

Oh wow I didn't even catch that I just passed it off as hysteria causing them to be dumb.
