Very good start. You have my attention!
Pretty interesting story you have here. This is one of the few kinds of stories where I have no problem with first person perspective.
It makes a lot of sense Moondancer would start studying friendship after the episode. I also think Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine and Minuette would be fun to see more of, especially Minuette. I personally thought if the show took place in Canterlot instead of Ponyville, Minuette would make a great element of Loyalty with the way she was all kind, welcoming, and happy to see Twilight after all this time of silence.
I look forward to how this story progresses. The only thing I saw wrong was in the first chapter there were parts that seemed awkwardly worded. It seemed another read through of the chapter would probably solve this though. Regardless, I look forward to the next chapter. I really want to see how Moondancer and crew grow together as friends.

Thanks for reading and I went back through the first chapter and tried to fix some things. I wrote this pretty late at night and one of those bad decisions you make at night is publishing a story without proof reading, right? Ha ha, oh I'd be a terrible author. Lol

I don't know about being an author, but I figured they most likely have someone else that proof reads their stuff. Still I imagine they spend time on their own as well. Either way it is a good story and I look forward to see how it goes.
