Huh, I wonder if in this universe when the Mane 6 obtained the Elements they freed Nightmare Moon and destroyed Luna rather than the other way around?

6970271 Wow, I hadn't even thought about that! Great idea! I personally was going for an alternate interpretation of canon rather than AU. I personally think the Elements could not or would not be able to spare Nightmare Moon, as her tendency for violence is an inherent part of her existence (being formed from dark magic and hatred), like Chaos is to Discord, even if she wished she could change.

Usually when Nightmare is treated like a separate entity, it's Luna who is forced against her will. Here it's Nightmare who is forced against her will.
That's what I love about Nightmare Moon, she's like Hamlet, everyone has their interpretation of it.
